I'm having a few issues with my A8R-MVP motherboard and Asus Tech Support has been a nightmare. I'm planning on ditching this board for another. I still have my X1800XT and wonder if perhaps the newer boards that support 32 lanes will give the X1800 crossfire a boost or if its not even worth it.
I'm at a position where I can go get the new board and crossfire 1800 and call it a day or go get an A8N32 and wait for the new Nvidia cards to come out and jump ship to Nvidia when they release a new one. But if the performance of the 1800 crossfire goes up a bit from the board alone I'd be for it.
So I guess the question is, does anyone think the X1800 Crossfire setup will get a bump from the 32 lanes? Have Nvidia cards seen an improvement from the increase in bandwidth?
