x1800xl vs. x1800xt

Hey guys, so can anyone tell me the major differences between the xl and xt? I know the xt has more onboard video ram, but will it put out that much more in game? My LCD only goes up to 1280x1024, and I hear the only advantage of an xt is being able to run at really high res. What are your guy's opinions?

it has an advantage when aa is turned up from 2 to 4

a lot better than the gtx T.T

let's just say that

x1800 xt > GTX > GT > X1800 xl

thats the only thing? im wanting to upgrade from my x850xt PE, i hear going form that to the 1800xl is a huge increase in performance, and going to the xt isnt much mroe of an incraese.

Resolution isn't the end all. Remember, the various eye candy settings that give us the goose bumps in games, will impact the lesser card.

Clock speeds mainly. There are heaps of reviews that show the performance differences between the two.

Yeah generally for this type of question numbers speak louder than words.

Generally the xt is a lot faster than the xl, due to more mem and higher locks. In many cases it gets the same fps at 16x12 as a xl gets at 12x10, so if you can spare the money it's worth the price difference IMO.
