x1800xt or 800gto2 x 2?

I get the impression that not too many in this forum think much of the x1600xt, even in
crossfire. Checking on options. Lots to consider, heat output, fan noise, duel cooling
slots versus single, crossfire or just one good single card. Not to mention prices. Any
feedback would be helpfull.

agreed but....1 card is cheaper so that's also a choice. why not the x850xt?
