Yeah lol. The only way to get that up is perhaps get another gig of RAM, and while i dont think it will help much if at all, perhaps SCSI.

Actually, I might have a fix for the FPS, too.

Doing some comparisons now.

More ram, nor SCSI will give him more frames overall. More ram will help with the hitching (raising minimum frames) from large textures in some games, but going from 1gig to 2gigs, wont give you more over all frames.

BF2 and F.E.A.R. benefit from 2gigs from what I have expierenced.

You really do need 2gigs, Ronin.

Well if he is doing constant disk swapping then it may help. Odds are he isn't; in which case i agree with you 100%.

I guess the only thing that will help him out is perhaps buying the 512mb version when it comes. Also perhaps an X2 4800+ OCed to the same speed may help, even more so with the Multi-threaded beta drivers.

Guys, the framerate has nothing to do with anything other than the settings I'm running. You can't possibly run higher settings than the ones I have set. Of COURSE it's gonna be slow (but apparently not as slow as they were originally, as I found a way to help that).

Yes, that's exactly what it does. But it's not a patch for the game, it's a driver hotfix which will be rolled into Catalyst 5.11.

Seriously, are people not even reading the article or the background information posted previously?
