I checked a distributor's website to see if any x1900 video cards were loaded into the system... They have 3.

x1900 xt at $515
x1900 xtx at $609
x1900 crossfire at $562

No stock, Nothing showing on order, No specs except 512mb. It does show UPC and Manufacturer numbers...

My cost is generally HIGHER than what you can find on PriceGrabber. For example, the x1800 XT is $553. You can do some quick math to guess what you should be able to buy them for.

I won't even start the debate of buy x1800 now or wait....

Those are pretty reasonable launch prices, I was expecting more for the XTX to be honest. Give em a few months, and this will look even better.

I am waiting... I figure some one else will start it.

I'm not trying to attack you or anything it's just that the prices are not really final so giving a guess is not really a good advice in my view.

Well the Egg has a retail x1800 xt for $559 with a $50 rebate or OEM for $509 no rebate. Either way about 10% cheaper than my cost. I resell enough to get good pricing.

Historically, you can buy online for about 10% less than my cost. YMMV.

Actually these are very real prices. I can order one at these prices and it will ship as soon as it is in stock.

I forget I can get MSRP by clicking on the item:

x1900 xt $549
x1900 xtx $649
x1900 crossfire $599

Something seems a little wacky to me. If, like rumor has it, the XTX only has a 25mhz core bump over the XT than why the $100 MSRP price difference? Not saying the OP isn't giving accurate info as it seems fairly legit IMO, but it makes one wonder if the difference between the XTX and XT will really be so small.

Or All-in-Wonder, I guess. But then again, I guess you really can't expect them to launch an All-in-Wonder at the same time as everything else.

You have to remember that the OP is going off of a list that is coming from his supplier. I have no idea who this is or anything about them, but to assume that since they didn't list it means that it isn't launching is probably too much of a stretch.

will there be an x1700 card or are they only refreshing the highend for now?

It's not that it's not there - I'm under the assumption that the All-in-Wonder cards have tended to come out a bit after the initial launch.

Although I wouldn't object to having them release one early!

The supplier is TechData. Right now the only three I listed are the only x1900 in the system. That doesn't mean there won't be an XL or AIW. It just means these are not in the system yet. Of course they need to be in the system before they can be ordered from the vendor.

For the record there are no PCIE card with 7900 in the title either.....

If this thing is only $550 @ Egg I'm going to have to tie myself down to refrain from buying.

I think there will be a x1700, and maybe a x1900pro in a bit different configuration. The current gap between the x1600 and the x1800 is just too big to be ignored. I suspect they will all be derived from the r580 core, with only 3 or 2 of the shader groups enabled, ie:

x1900xt = 16 pipes, 48 shaders
x1900pro = 12 pipes, 36 shaders
x1700 = 8 pipes, 24 shaders

If that's true, the x1700 should turn out to be a very nice midrange card, especially in modern games with shaders.

Thanks, cptstern. Those prices aren't bad at all considering the massive shader power upgrade. I'm thinking G71 may be priced slightly higher, just based on its rumored specs and mainly clocks (700MHz!).
