X1900XTX temp question

I have a X1900XTX and I have my fan running at 50% at all times with Rivatuner and when playing Counter Strike Source at max settings I see my core temp hitting like 69C and my Voltage regulator temp hitting 60C, and my ambient temp is 46C. Are these safe temps or are they too high for this card? This is my first Ati card for awhile and I am not too familiar with them. So are these safe temps for this card? What temps should I worry with?

P.S. Rivatuner also shows my Voltage regulator output to being 1.2V for 2D mode and 1.45 for 3D mode. Are these correct stock voltages?

Thanks for the help...

Getting close to the limit and that's not where you want to be. Why the 50%? Trying to save on electricity? Naw, just a lame joke, it's over noise issues, correct?!

69 is not near the limit, I wouldn't be concerned until you get into the low to mid 80's. It's fine where it is and as long as you are comfortable with the noise then keep things as they are.

Seeing as how the X1900 cards can push into the 90s I wouldn't be worried about 69 deg C. Although seriously man 50% all the time? Use ATI Tool and have the fan dynamically adjust fan speeds based on temperature.

Maybe it's too loud at 100%. 69C at load is excellent when you consider the payoff in reduced noise.

Like has been said, thats not too bad at all. I saw mine reach 90* when I was on stock cooling. Seems very warm to me, although the card never hiccuped one bit.

I would say your results are fairly common, nothing to worry about.

I just put a 1900xtx in my system this week and am also seeing very high temps--80-85C when alt tabbing or quitting from most 3D games (with Doom3 at a relatively cool 70-71 and Civ4 (!?) at 85, a tad hotter than FEAR, BFMEII or 3DMarks06). The card idles at 42-45 (in a very cool location). The card and system have run fine other than these temps. It is necessary to take steps to cool the card further (which I would like to avoid if possible since my computer installation expertise is relatively low), or is this bearable as long as there are no system problems?

Well I don't use Ati Tool because it causes my system to crash, since I am using XP 64bit....Now I know my core full load temp is ok...but how about the Voltage regulator temp, is that ok?Is my ambient temp ok? Are my voltages what they should be for stock voltages?

Your temps are fine. There is nothing to worry about. Voltages are fine as well. It increases to meet the power demanded by the gpu

But some places say that the stock 3D voltage is like 1.42 where Rivatuner shows mine at 1.45....Maybe it just rounds it up? Can anyone check their Rivatuner?

I appreciate the help mate.

69C is outstandingly low IMO for a 1900XTX.

The stock fan with these cards in unbelievably loud at over 50%. I mean, you have no idea how loud this thing is until you hear it in person. I'd estimate it at about 70-80DB myself. I replaced mine with a VF700 and never looked back.

In other words, don't worry at all about your temps. They're more than fine.

I don't know if you can adjust voltages w/ Rivatuner but I'm able to run at 650/775 at 1.35v using ATI Tool and I know a few folks run w/ even less voltage. The lower voltages give me low 60s at load and makes me a happy camper.
