Is this a good deal? Newegg is selling a Powercolor x1950 Pro with 512 MB of RAM and an Arctic Cooling HSF for $130 shipped after a $40 rebate and an instant $20 savings (with a coupon code).

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this one because I like the 512 MB memory and the Arctic Cooling heatsink-and-fan. But, is it too early to buy with new nVidia cards on the way? Would you feel badly if you bought this for $130 and the 8800 GTS-320 fell to $200 a couple months from now?

Does anyone own this card and how well did it overclock?

They can already be had for $260 and nVidia will be releasing new cards in a couple months, perhaps a new generation of cards (9800 series). Also, ATI will eventually release the 670 chip. All of that should put some downward pressure on those cards, but how much and when is anyone's guess.

I'm thinking that I might buy this and then see if I can sell my x800xt locally on Craig's List.

Try logging out of your egg acct and clearing your cache. This worked for me in the past. The code worked about 20 minutes ago.

Damn that's a good deal. It's difficult waiting til the 8800 GTS/8800 GT come down the $200-ish price range. I know that I'll need a new PSU for whichever card I buy, though. So it might as well be a good one!

I'm sure Nvidia has the ability to. the 8800 line has been out for a good amount of time. There is no direct competition from ATI yet. Its going to be time for Nvidia to push out their higher end chips to advance even further.

I wonder what AMD/ATI is up to. Good time to buy stocks?

Here is a HOT deal on a power supply from Frys: Link. I just went and bought one for myself.

That doesn't have a whole lot power on its 12V rails. I doubt it will be able to run more than a 1-year-old system.

This happened to me before. It took a few days after I registered before the codes started working again. I would call them and have them just give you the credit.
