x2 3800+ AM2 65nm, help me choose a motherboard

Returning a mobo to ewiz that was defective and want to replace with a good OC'ing board. Buying an open box from Newegg (ironic, eh, lol) help me choose:

I have a cheapo $8 heatsink right now and a gig of generic DDR-667. I think I rather use a divider than have to go through the trouble of selling the stick I have and going out and buying some 4-4-4-12 DDR 800, but am willing to do that if the benefit is there.

I'm really shooting for at least 2.6ghz, 2.8 preferable. Is it possible with this setup. Will be using AS5 with the crappy HSF, or could just buy an arctic freezer from ewiz when I go to buy my next stick of ram.

I have the K9A Platinum Crossfire. I've had no issues with the board so far, and chose it due to its power efficiency (80nm process) and chipset, which compared favourable with competing boards. My only real gripe is its BIOS options, which don't allow you to set the Hypertransport speed, and which may be preventing me from going beyond 2.6GHz.

i'm doing my first am2 with BIOSTAR TFORCE 550 - not ob, though, that i just ordered...

get an af 64 pro from ewiz for $25... and a couple stix of the supertalent 667 while u r there...

I've used the Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe for about 9 months now without a hitch. Plenty of overclocking options, nice and quiet due to passive heat pipe cooling on the chipset, and prompt BIOS upgrades when new AMD processors come out. I can't comment on the integrated sound because I've used my SB Audigy 2 ZS platinum that I brought over from my previous system. I've been using Crucial DDR2-800, but I'm sure it supports 667 just fine.
