With the popularity of this dual core chip, I thought I'd just try to share my humble results and hopefully find out from others how well they're doing..

this is only my second 'tweak', but I figure it's probably pretty darn good..

Asus A8N Sli Deluxe runnin @ 260mhz (200mhz stock) 41C chipset (under load)
X2 3800+ @ 2600mhz (10x mult, 2000mhz stock) 41C (under load)
2x512 ddr @ 217mhz w/2.5-3-3-5 (200mhz stock)

vCore - set it to 1.475, CPU-Z says ~1.520
vMem - set it to 2.8v

swiftech 6000 copper block, dd a8n chipset block, thermochill 120.3 rad, ddc 12v pump

has anyone gotten drastically better with a similar setup? i'd love to find out if i'm pushing my limits or not even close...

I have a 4400+ watercooled and I am at 2730 (1 core can go to 2900 the other ... you guessed it 2730 with this memory (two 1gig Patriot dimms at DDR210 2.5-3-2-7. My DFI boards is flaky, very flaky with dividers with my ram,

My dual Prime 95 load is 46C and S&M load is 53C. (It is one core not doing to well that hold me back) with the voltage 1.55 with cpu-z

This is with an older Koolance watercooling unit so you should be able to hit near me I would imagine with your rig.

I'm stuck at the same speed with my X2 3800+ and a Big Typhoon, so I'm hitting 55-60C which is what I'm guessing is limiting me. Sounds like you're hitting your chip's maximum.

My specs:
X2 3800+ Toledo (IHS removed) @ 1.425V
Epox 9NDA3+
1GB Mushkin Value (2.7V, DDR266 divider, 2-3-2-7)

EDIT: Great to see you putting that awesome CPU to work on F@H!

No, I am running my ram at 5:6 divider (I think it is 300) at FSB bus of 260 X 10.5 for 2730 and a ram frequency of DDR210. I have my HTT still at 4x for 1040.

Ive got my Watercooled X2 3800+ to 2.75ghz @ 1.525v on my DFI NF4 Ultra Infnity. It probably has some more room in it, Ive been having some problems with my memory so Im focusing on that. Temps are about 39C idle and 41C load. Ive got a DD TDX, Maze 4 GPU and a Heatercore in my watercooling. So far im loving it. I just need to figure out this memory problem and Ill be set.

michaelpatrick33, you might want to try dropping that HTT down to 3x. It dosent affect preformance a noticeable ammount, but it will affect your overclocking significantly. Try to keep it lower than 1000.

tomt, can you PLEASE explain this '~1000' ideal?

what should be ~1000? HTT multi x fsb?

also, how are you getting 2.75ghz? what's ur fsb, htt multi, dram ratio, etc

From Zebo's A64 OC guide sticky:

VERY IMPORTANT to keep in mind at all times is hypertransport needs to be around 1000, meaning LDT x HTT (aka FSB) ~1000 or less.

2.75Ghz was my max, I ran it at 275x10 1.525v. I was running a real low divider because I was just trying to max out the chip, not do anything with the memory. MY HTT multi was at 3x. Its Hypertransport speed x FSB speed. 3x 275 = 825.

do you worry about runnin the proc at > 1.5v with watercooling? do you think anyone with watercooling should worry?

The bios is reporting my temps at 28C, so Im not too worried. Im not totally sure if that is correct or not. Even if my temps were a little higher, Im not too worried about giving it that many volts with decent water cooling.

that was pretty much my thinking too.. it's heat that damages, not electrical flow... right?
