...after a loud explosion or when you fire your gun? It's driving me crazy! Is there a setting somewhere that i'm missing?

really? if that's the case, then i'm returning them. I wan't the full sound experience, not a muffled one. I do understand why they would do that, but I just don't agree.

I haven't played COD4 myself, but I think the implication is that the GAME does this.

i don't think so. when i'm using speakers, there is no muffling or dipping in volume.

Yes, the game does this for realism. Loud noises cause your hearing to 'deaden' for a moment... nearby explosions cause ringing in your ears and basically temporary deafness.

well, seems that the problem was that the IR piece wasn't in the LOS of the headphones so the volume would dip at different moments. all figured out, thanks guys!

In that case, you picked the wrong game to have a problem with.

Makes sense, but I'm trying to visualize this... So your sound was fine until there was an explosion or firing your gun. You determined that the sound was quitting when your wireless headphones lost 'sight' of the transmitter.

What were you doing... ducking under your keyboard every time there was a loud noise!?
