X3350 in a GA P35 DS3L

I am thinking about buying a X3350 since the Q9450 has become an urban legend. But it's not in the Gigabyte P35 DS3L supported processors list and I don't want to "flash the bios" because it's my first build ever and I'm a newbie. Or might the cpu not work at all?

The only way it WILL work IS to flash the bios to F8b.

NP, but if you do decide to flash, get a usb memory stick and do it that way. Don't try it within windows.
