I received my Q9450 today.
And so the overclocking begins. Here's the story so far...
Using a TRUE + 2 x Noctua NF-S12 and Shin-Etsu X23 on an Asus P5K Deluxe BIOS 0809 with 2GB G-Skill DDR2-800 'HZ'.
3.2GHz passes with flying colors. Default vcore, temps are reasonable ~70C on core#1 full load OCCT.
3.6GHz would POST but Windows would crash shortly after booting. I removed 2GB of RAM because without all 4 slots filled I can push the fsb farther. Leaving in only 2GB G-Skill DDR2-800 'HZ' works great at 900MHz, VDIMM is 2.3v, Vcore 1.3v.
Temps are kinda high, maxing out with OCCT full load at 75C on core#1, while FAH max temp is 70C, ambient temps about 28C. 1hr stable with OCCT so far + 1hr of FAH, I believe this will be good as I had to bump up the vcore a lot of times before OCCT would even run for 1 min.
I'm testing some ICD7 vs Shin-Etsu X23 for the DC forum and will be lapping the CPU and TRUE in a couple of weeks. Hopefully that will help my temps.
Here's some pics of my BIOS settings in the 'Jumperfree' menu, and some benchmarks, cpuz and stuff.

I think I'll stick at 3.6GHz for now until I can get the temps under control better. But I can tweak my memory timings in the meantime.
To be continued....
