x800 Pro Artifacting

Well I bought a x800 Pro VIVO card a while ago. It is a sapphire card. I flashed it to 16 pipes and it worked fine for about 5-6 months. Then all of the sudden it started to artifact in world of warcraft, sims 2, side miers pirates, and a few other games. One artifact it does is like a small square in the mid right of the screen, that is a square of just random colors and such. Sometimes it does actual artifacting of shapes. Never had any other problems with it other than that. What do you all think is wrong or what can I do to fix it. I did use it in my comp with water cooling on the core. Do you think the ram is getting too hot? Let me know, thank you.

Do you have Overdrive enabled in the ATI control panel? If so, turn it off. I've seen this cause artifacts with other x800 cards, including my own.

I dont think I have it enabled, I dont even see it. Arent x800 XT's the ones with it? Cause my main comp with the x800 XT has it disabled. What else could be the problem?

My guess is your are operating with a borderline memory setting....not all memory is created equal...I had a 9700pro that would get artifacts at default setting...i had to us a tuning tool to reduce the memory clock by about 5% to get rid of it...

I have tryed turning it down but for some reason it still does it sometimes. It seems like it only does it when there is a lot of stuff going on, on the secreen.

x800 Pro supports overdrive. Mine does.

I dont see the overdrive menu on my x800 pro. Maybe I will update my drivers and see what happens.

Anyone else have any ideas on what could be causing the problem? Maybe I just have to underclock my video card ALOT?
