I suppose everyone outside of Georgia has enjoyed Monarch's pricing etc... but I must say being local I have been disappointed by them everytime I've attempted to do business with them. I was going to go down there today to purchase this item instead of dealing with ordering it online and having it shipped plus taxes when I can drive down there quickly... now with the price change they won't honor the weekend price. Having them local ruins most deals as is, but when they aren't opened through the weekend with decent hours, and run 'weekend specials' what is the point. Back to ZZF, newegg, and Fry's for my needs, thanks.

These are brand new cards, right? Not refurb? If so, I'm about to give some customers free upgrades.
And any idea when this deal ends?

Received this card today. Though the site said OEM, the Connect3D/ATI (Graphics by ATI Certified) box included an s-video out cable + composite adapters and a DVI to VGA adapter.
I was not aware that the X800XL is NOT powered directly to the power supply. It gets all the power it needs through the PCI-E slot. I spent some time choosing a power supply for my new AMD-64/X800XL PCI Express system, but I eliminated all PSU's that did not have the separate power lead for the new & power hungry video cards.
I would be happy to describe the performance of my new system, but I ordered the AMD-64/motherboard (+ Half Life2 coupon/Far Cry DVD-64/Napster 4-months) combo separately, and there was a problem with verification of my billing address (the one they had already sent the video card to) and it still hasn't shipped yet. Sigh.

It appears just the opposite. Seems you need only a 20 pin to 24 pin adapter to power the PCI-E motherboard.
