I am the original poster of this deal on hardforum. This is a replacement part for the Vaio R series and as far I know it is a pci express card.

I didn't jump on this because I didn't want to argue with this company if something was wrong and I don't really need the card, but I hope someone out there gets a good deal out of this.

Its a leap of faith, but if you take the jump and it turns out to be true, it sure is a HOT deal. I'm going to be needing another PCI-e card soon but I don't know if I want to risk the $85

True. But that's what one site I went to had it listed as, and I think I know why...

When you click on "See all models that can use this product" it lists only one model: Sony VGC-RA910G

Looking around, the Sony VGC-RA910G is listed as coming standard with a 128meg X600XT. The specs also say that the video interface is AGP Pro. But then there are many places that mention an optional X800XT PCI-E.

The Sony press-release is pretty clear about this model taking a PCI-E card (the X600XT.) So, despite the confusion, I think it's clear that this is a PCI-E card. But beyond that I think there are a lot of questions surrounding it, especially when the dealer doesn't even know what they've got.

Detailed specs are not available on the Sony website.

I did a google search for that part number (Sony Part Number: 176196311), and one link came up, at 'Union Electronic Distributors', says:

176196311 CARD, VGA (RADEON X800 XT SONY PARTS

The formatting looks a lot like the description on the PartStore website, so perhaps this is where they got their info.

They also have 5 part numbers for X600XT cards: 176192021, 176192111, 176192121, 176192131, 176192141.

yea... i was charged tax and was like WTF??? i saw they are in NY, so unless they have an office or warehouse in all our states i don't understand how we are taxed.
