Man, you guys are kicking my 6800GT up and down the board with those GTO's. With my AXP 2500 @ 2.2ghz and a BFG 6800GT @ 400/1100 (ultra speeds) I only get ~5400ish on 3DMark05. I wonder if I am doing something wrong...

yup. the fireblade cooler is pretty good, and is a steal for 160-170. I want to get a Silencer soon, so I can safely overclock to 625/1250.

Anyway, what are you people idling at (with your graphics card)?

GPU: x800GTO Fireblade
HS/F: Stock
Idle temp: 42 (stock) (measured with ATI Tool), 44 (oc')

How bout you? (wondering if my GPU is hotter than usual?)

I also got a ATI silencer(the x850 one) Heatsink/fan becuase the temps where around 70 degrees celcius with the old fan and it was somewhat annoying.

All gto's have a good price performance ratio, cuase even if you don't get one you can unlock, you can overclock like crazy

That's the highest clock I've heared of for a Fireblade card. Does it have a R423 or R480? 1.6ns memory or 2.0ns? Did the Silencer improve your overclock much from the stock cooler? :thumbsup:

Its an R480 core with the 1.6 ns memory, And I didnt bench the card with the stock cooler, As soon as i got the card the silencer was on the same day.
I have my compy in my room so i like to have it very silent.

My GPU idles at 36 degrees and at load it is anywhere from 50 to 63 depending on how demanding the game is. Fireblades are awsome OCers, cheers, for great minds think alike :beer:

My CPU is holding back a couple hundered points I think, I only have a 3200+, and i can't OC with my current motherboard. No Vcore or Vdimm or RAM timmings in the bios

Thats about the same score I'm getting, that Opty of yours must be giving you a little edge (nice choice btw). My GPU is 51 degrees at load so I'd say yours is ok.

ouch. My GPU gets 65 at load... what cooler are you using? (I really should invest in an Arctic Silencer for lower temps. and lower volume!).

Copper Zalman. I'd recommend it if you have very good airflow. (I have 3x80mm rear, 2x80mm & 1x120mm front, 2x80mm psu, 1x120mm cpu, and 1x80mm gpu fans:Q) Otherwise I'd get the silencer since it exhausts out the rear.

i got 2 120 exhaust, 1 120 intake, a squirel cage on cpu, Silencer on gpu, 2 80mm on psu and 1 120 pushing air over hdd and psu and my gpu temps never go over 50 w/ a case temp of 32
