x800xl omega drivers

Hi all I have a x800xl with omega drivers 6. something i believe

Is it always worth it to update ur Video card drivers?
I mainly Play Bf2 bF2142 and Oblivion.
Is there a set of drivers which is the best for the X800xl? as in
5.6, 5.7 5.9 etc

If they are working satisfactorily there's little reason to change. The latest version is usually the best though.

When I had an ATI (my last were X800XL and X1800XL) card I always used Omega drivers and usually updated to the latest one.. Those were fabulous drivers and never gave me any problems. I say update. If there ARE problems it's simple to revert to the old driver anyway.

I also use Omega Driver 6.3 (v 3.8.231 I believe) for my X800XL and it's great. Normally I'd update but have not needed to since everything works fine. And BF2 is pretty much all I've been playing lately too. Omegas are much better than the normal ATI Catalyst Control center bloatware.

The last drivers I used with my X800XL were OMega 6.1 or 6.2's.

I haven't bothered with Omega drivers using X1900XTX, but Omega does have good drivers.

I'm using the same setup in one of my Rigs now and it works great, games too!
