X800XL Question for all new owners

Hey guys finally got my X800XL from ATI yesterday. Its running great but a few questions.

1. Does yours show up as 2 devices under device manager? (I see X800 and X800 secondary)

2. Can you publish 3dmark data? Mine show as unpublishable.

well i dont have a x800 xl, but a 9800 pro and can tell you that the x800 secondary is for your second monitor (duel monitor) setup.

1. Yeah, I get a (secondary) display device on my manager too, I'm thinking it has something to do with the s-vidio port, but it aint broke so I'm not gonna fix it.

2. I get the option to publish but haven't done it yet.

Yup, that's normal. 9600Pro and 9800Pro had the same thing.

I have a Radeon X800XL on an MSI RS480M2-IL ATI Radeon Xpress 200 motherboard with an Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 939 CPU and 1Gb of Dual Channel DDR400 memory.

Everything is running at standard stock clockspeeds, and I scored a 4792 on 3DMark05.

x800xl and 3000+ on DFI ultra-D give me 4756 on 3DMark05

So I downloaded and ran 3D Mark 05, and got a score of:
4730

I have a A64 3200+ 939
X800XL

Seems to be pretty close to the other scores.

Also, is it normal for the demos to be run twice? The first time through everything was very smooth, then it ran them again in some funky interlaced resolution and the benchmarks ran like crap (maybe 1-2 FPS). Is that normal, and if so, what makes the second set run so much slower than the first?

Just means your cpu is not fast enough.

the second set , the crappy ones at 640x480, are cpu tests....it gets the cpu to render the image.

jus shows u how powerful these gpu's are. quite easily managing 10x7 resolution at decent speed, while the cpu cant even hack 640x480

I have an A64 3200+ and an Asus AX800XL at stock speeds and I only got a score of 4510. Any suggestions for CPU/RAM settings?
Currently I've set the RAM to 2-2-2-5 1T and HTT 200.

What are the clock rates of the X800XL? Can it be overclocked to X800XT speeds?

Prolly will go up a bit once winter is gone, my apt is at 64F currently and I keep it around 70F durring the summer.
