I couldn't find a place to enter coupons in under Healthcare Client. Came out to be 451 after tax for me. Tax sorta kills it for me.

Edit: FYI, this card is also listed under local/state governments site. I'm gonna see if I can order this through my workplace (county gov) and see if I can get any discount off the listed price.

It says ships in 5-7 days on the site. I also see that the card's an option as an upgrade on their normal desktops which estimated would ship on 9/2 with the x800 xt. I think I'd chance this as opposed to waiting forever for gateway to send mine.

I gave it a try under the health care, we'll see if it gets 86'd. I could prolly go through my company's Dell account but its a pain to deal with reimbursement.

I've got decent hopes on this one coming through. I know Dell has been shipping the x800 XT PE PCI-E cards in their high end dimension xps systems. Hopefully they got some agp's laying around.

HL2 benches would be nice. I know the x800 does better at most games than a 6800 Ultra. I don't see why HL2 would be any different. Not so good in Doom 3. To be honest I don't care about Doom 3 anyway. Graphics are amazing but the gameplay is old school and dull. What I've seen of HL2 really surprises me.

BTW, how did you find this? Obscure find indeed.

Anyway, thanks a bunch! I purchase 11 of them on my credit card! Came out to $4,583.26 plus 8% tax. Cha Ching!

I'm thinking of giving them away for christmas gifts... Maybe for somebody's birthday. Anyone have a birthday coming up? hehe.

I really doubt, after that Florida State Employee fiasco a few months back, that this'll fly. Good luck if it does! Dell charges $670 for the XT800 XT Platinum if you try to order it as a separate part through Accessories.

Freaken opportunists! I hate dell. It's clear that the actual cost of the card for dell is well below 500$ even, as we can see by the price on the health client website. I think I despise dell more every day. By the way, my birthday is September 17th...and I need a video card.

Edit: Got the email. What are our chances of getting this card. I'm going to school in PA in 3 weeks and if it hasn't shipped by then, do you think I can call Dell and ask them to change the shipping address? Will they refund my sales tax?

It looks like State/Local Govt. and K-12 institutions get it too (like they really need it)

I mean this really doesn't make sense. Who in Healthcare, Local/State Governments, or in a K-12 institution really needs this video card? Most, if not all of them would get by with integrated graphics or a slow entry level card. Maybe someone in GIS working for government would need something better, but they would probably go with a Quadro or Fire card.

I can't take credit for that. I saw it on HardForum (Hardocp) yesterday morning. I'd link it but I can't find it anymore. I dunno if it was in Hotdeals or Video cards or something else.

The Healthcare/Government sites seems to be completely separate divisions from home/home office. The cards may be cheaper because people in those fields simply don't provide such a demand for the cards. I bet this Healthcare division got its own allotment of cards that won't make it through Home/Home office channels.

but it means nothing to me cause I got no money. hope dell comes through for you all though.
