XB1 vs. PS4 - Which one are YOU buying?

You forgot the option for both, which with a highly contested battle like this combined with a poor economy and low hardware costs (respectively) will certainly lead to price drops before very long.

There will be great exclusives for both as well.

I'll do PS4 first, but won't rule out an XB1 as things move along.

You're right, I did forget both. However, just go with whatever you'll buy first, I'm assuming. I just think the perks on PS4/exclusive games will be a better option than XB1. Especially with what MS pulled in the beginning (all the restrictions) - They are clearly way power hungry. Who knows what they'll do 3 years down the road when everyone already owns an XB1 and can't 'un-own' it.

Xbox One for me. I want Halo, Dead Rising 3, and prefer Forza to GT. I also think the Kinect is a cool piece of tech and even if it wasn't bundled would buy one. If they add a free game like they are with Fifa for EU I will be even happier.

I already pre-ordered the PS4. The Xbox brand has never really interested me. Mainly because it's a multiplatform system and most of those games play better on PC IMO. I enjoy the PlayStation exclusives a lot. The only game that really interests me on the Xbox One is Forza, as GT6 will likely suck as hard as GT5 did.

Sick of "mature" shooters and casual mainstream crap on Xbox.

At least PS still has platformers and RPGs even if they are far and few.

I was wholy in camp MS after the PS3 launch failure and overhyping by Sony.

If Xbox One doesn't have games like Ni no Kuni, Tales of Xillia, Dragon's Crown, The Last of Us, etc, forget it. I'm honestly surprised Kingdom Hearts III will be cross platform , and I swear if they give Sora a 5 o'clock shadow and give him a "mature attitude" to appeal to Xbox users, I'm so done with Square too.

Battlefield 4 and Forza 5 would last me a long time just fine, so I think I'm gonna go with XB1. That Titanfall video looked insane too.
Maybe I'm just not paying attention, but Sony really doesn't seem to be showing off as much with what they have, even if it is all better.
So as Joe Dumb Dumb consumer, I'll just go what I'm confortable with again.

I picked the XB1 on the Merits of Forza alone. The series imho is one of the greatest out there period. It also doesnt hurt that XB1 has some other wicked exclusives.

I will be getting both, but after yesterday I will wait a bit on the ps4. Indies are great and everything, but they aren't enough of a reason for me to drop $400 on a machine.

The official Launch date for the PS4 is November 15 US & 29 for UK


But no date for the Xbox One yet
