This is the kind of stupid crap that NV should just stop doing. The guerrilla marketing fake slides (at chiphell) and posting this kind of crap. Just get some benchmarks out there to the public, IMO, marketing BS is far beyond tired at this point. Didn't JHH say that the Fermi GF100 would be 5x faster than 5870 6 months before release? In all seriousness, it's really unlikely they will be releasing a furnace with all the rumours that the card they are releasing will have a die size similar to the 7970. Should be reasonable on thermals. Not expecting much in the way of new performance levels from this first card, but probably some price cuts from AMD once they finally get some competition out of nvidia. I want to see the numbers on the real flagship coming in the fall.

Now that big die flagship they are releasing later on this year, that could be a real grilling machine.

(574 - 160)x2 = 828 watts

Let's ignore the fact that a 800 watt single gpu is pretty much impossible, but since the 7970 was mentioned to the defense we shall go!

And before this blows up, clearly the 680 using double the power of a 7970 is a logical fallacy, but make sure you take my half cocked totally non serious post as something it wasn't meant to be instead of addressing the post I was with your passionate desires to rout misinformation out of the internet.
