I just found xbox at EB Games only $149.99 with some conditions that you have to buy extra controler and xbox live kit and then you received the 3 games. Good luck

A bit misleading IMHO. The deal is you buy an Xbox/Sega2gamebundle ($199), get a game free from usual list, buy an extra controller ($29.99), and buy Xbox Live ($49.99) OR any game $39.99 or higher and then you have to mail away to get your $50 EB voucher (not cash back). So you pay $280 (+tax) upfront and get a $50 voucher back months later.

I got this deal yesterday.

Bought the 'xbox with 1 s controller, 2 free games (JSRF/SegaGT) set', Tao Feng and an extra S controller. I got to pick from a small list of games free, which I picked Amped.

Except for waiting for the $50, its a decent deal. I had considered the costco deal, but didn't want to pay for the DVD kit when I really didn't want it.

Saving $30-50 on a used/refurb model isn't such a good deal imo.

It's a good deal because a lot of Xbox owners end up buying all that stuff anyway (extra controller, Live, etc.). Plus you can buy Live and PSO and get a $10 voucher for that too. $50 EB voucher eventually comes in handy for any console owner.

They have the same deal with the PS2, but IMHO its a bit better

If I remember correctly, it was:
Buy a PS2, a controller, and a game (one of them is vice city...awesome game), and you get a game for free and a $50 MIR...everyone buys the extra controller and vice city is a must have, so I see it as a win-win situation

Hey, couldn't we use a BVG card, Amex or Chase, and buy those things now, and get BVG for $50 when price of those system drops, then get that $50 voucher?

You can say that again. The only thing I miss about not having a PS2 anymore is Vice City and I'll be able to get my fix for that in another 9 days on the PC.

Actually, the last time I sent in an EBgames voucher MIR, it came back pretty quickly - much faster than bestbuy of compusa.

The vouchers typically come back quickly as they are store credit and not cash.

This deal is also good on the refurb unit, but the refurb is lacking the 2 Sega games. Of course, those games are available in most EBs preowned for $15. Buying the refurb will let you take another $50 (or $35 if you really want JSRF and Sega GT) your upfront cost and you still get the same mail-in voucher.

sounds like an alright deal if your buying the other things anyway.

i bought a refurb'd xbox from eb about 3 months ago, spent 19$ on the 2 yr replacement warranty, then bought the 2 bundled games for $5 at rhino.

xbox live is great, mechassault is my fav so far...

havent playd mech4, but i've heard mechassualt is different because its like an arcade style mech game, like the Q3 Arena of mech games, lol, at least on Live.
