Been watching this deal because my xbox has been acting flaky all week (locking up with screen glitches) and the last time this happened to me I got RR'd. This morning my current xbox RR'd on me and when I went to order, the deal was gone...but...

Dell has the Arcade for $170 after coupon code with free shipping. You'll most likely have to pay tax. My order came to $5 more than the Amazon deal.

My new Xbox arrived today. Glad I missed out on the Amazon deal and paid the $5 more at Dell. Ordered on Sunday, shipped on Monday, and arrived Tuesday.

I can confirm that the unit I got was a 512MB Jasper. And it's crazy quiet. Might be worth it to find a bigger hard drive to do game disc installs just so I can have an ultra quiet setup.

so i used the code provided, there was already another code going on right now + free shipping code
+ i got 5% for using the DPA trick.

anyone got feedback for MUST HAVE 360 games? could care less if they are exclusives
finally the price is right to pick one up

I'd go for Gears 1 and 2. I'd go with Rock Band over Guitar Hero (I suck at fake plastic guitar, Rock Band has better vocals and drums than Guitar Hero World Tour) if you want to try a music game. Half Life Orange Box if you don't already have the games for PC. Bioshock, Fallout 3, and the Call of Duty games.

Maybe not for you. The PS3 will STILL be more expensive after the price drop. There are still very little games on PS3, and even fewer of those worth playing. Many games look better on the Xbox360 than they do on PS3. The Blu-Ray player can be purchased separately. The RROD can be fixed at home if you know what you are doing, and willing to read. Oh, and PS3 cant be modded/hacked. (at least as far as I know)

Well duh, the PS3 has like, 1 exclusive worth playing... and it used to allow linux installs out the box... why would people even bother cracking it?
but now that those things change (the slim does not allow linux installs) and it gets more exclusives... well someone will get to it.

I got mine from Dell today. Manufacture date of 6/30/09 so it has 512MB of flash(only 320MB free) and it has a Netflix label on the box but still shows 256MB for the MU. Power brick is at least 3 inches shorter than the Falcon and I don't hear a fan in it. Several of the holes in the end are plugged and there are slits in the edges for cooling. Yes it is extremely quiet running off the hard drive.

I don't know why you have to reinstall all the games when switching to a new console. The DVD still has to be in the drive.??
