Xbox 360 Arcade on sale at Dell for $129 (Canada) or $179.99 w/$50 Gift Card (USA)

Interested in a new Xbox 360 and live in Canada? Then you might want to click over to Dell.com as quick as you can because the Arcade version is currently on sale for $129.00. This is the cheapest we've seen an Xbox 360 yet. Shipping is free but you'll likely have to pay sales tax.

This is from Dell Canada. This is probably a price match to the $130 arcade deal that Walmart (and I think Staples) started running in Canada. Amazon.ca matched the $130 price and it looks like Dell is doing so as well. I don't know how this would work out ordering from the states.

Don't forget, you can install a hard drive to get most (all) the capabilities of an elite. You can buy a 360 hard drive off ebay or craigslist (looks to be ~$40 for the 20 gig) or you can use hddhackr and a WD notebook drive (i think scorpio series) to get a bigger hd for cheaper. Note that hddhackr will probably void your warranty, though, whereas using an official drive would not.

Hmm, a $50 gift card incentive isn't bad but having to wait 6-8 weeks to receive it isn't quite as good as $129+tax. Better than nothing, though.

Sure beat the hell out of doing it myself to save about $10 (if you include the price of the hard drive housing). With the exception of some Engrish on the box, you really would have a hard time distinguishing this from an actual MS part. It even has a Microsoft hologram sticker on the unit. The only downside is it took about a month to get here from HK.
