Ps3. Killzone2 > Anything the 360 will be able to produce.
But yeah, I gotta admit... Killzone 2 is a pretty cool movie.

THIS 40 year old gamer, who's been gaming for 25 years, was seriously perked up completely by accident when I booted AMPED up on my Xbox. I looked up at 2am and I still had my tie on from work on a Friday when I left a bit early and got home at 5pm. Amped 2 was a decent improvement. I am a bit scared of Amped 3 as apparently they're revamping it a bit, but, AMPED at least WAS a very unique and awesome game.
I have played everything - MMORPG (with 5 accounts on different games), flight-sims, FPS, RTS, stealth-combat...AMPED was a refreshing change that was quite addictive and extremely enjoyable.
Don't forget about amped!!
I can't wait for the gaming generation to come of age... So all these people (i.e. politicians) who have never played a single game in their life will stop trying to make decisions about such things.Originally posted by: southpawuni
Your post got me thinking that I'll have 36 years of gaming under my belt when I'm 40 years old.

3- FinalFantasy- MS is going to get a port of the least popular title in the main series history- Sony gets everything else. Again, IMO KoTOR was better then anything to come out of the FF series in an extremely long time without a doubt, but the market demand for FF on a global basis is enormous.
4- DragonQuest- MS has lost Japan. Period. Whatever platform DQ lands on wins the market- every time- without fail.
TOKYO--In an interview with Reuters, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada disclosed that his company is considering releasing new installments of its Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest role-playing series on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. "We will decide by E3 in May [2006] as to whether to release them on both the PS3 and Xbox, or just one platform," Wada told Reuters.

Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy On 360?
Square Enix says reports out of Japan are inaccurate.
Seems the above story is in an uncertain state of veracity right now. Either way I think MS will stay slightly ahead of Sony in units shipped to NA and Europe this gen, with the PS3 keeping a huge lead in Japan.

My .02C thrown into the mix:
Xbox 360 = What, more PC games? I have a PC to play those. I PREFER a PC to play FPS. Xbox only? Wait no, anything CONSOLE ONLY, will also come out on the PS3.
Playstation 3 = Massive collection of PS1, PS2, AND PS3 compatibility. Oh, lets not forget the lineup of games shall we? Most of these you will never find on a PC.
Its pretty simple, it doesn't even matter if the PS3 costs more. I would still buy it. Its a one time buy, and it will last for 5 years. People who buy computer upgrades can't TOUCH THAT AT ALL. Do people honestly remember how much the GameCube Cost??? Did pricing it lower actually mean instant victory?
Yep, PS3 for me. I would rather have 7 physical processors and be able to play exclusive japanese company titles (RPGs, Some action/adventure), SC/Tekken series (over DoA) etc etc. (There are so many others, Grand Theft Auto, GT, party games, DDR, all the PS3 franchises, Final Fantasy...)
I agree with this.
But 7 processors is a bad thing IMO for devs. I think the perfect fit is single core+physics chip (nintendo). Devs can just go at it fullbore from day 1, they'll be used to using the unified ATI chip from messing with the 360, but they'll have a faster one.
Single core CPU programming is something everyone is used too, and the physics chip will makeup for alot itself.
The fact it doenst have HD doesnt bother me. I dont think the majority of people will have hdtvs until the next console generation anyway.
For those who are all about graphics will get a PS3, nintendo knows this so they are concentrating on innovation.
You also forgot to mention that the Revolution has a back catalog itself of NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube games. Probably the most innovative and largest of all the back catalogs in existence.
I'm frankly tired of the PC video graphics upgrade cycle, and I'm tired of seeing the same with Xbox 1.5 and PS3.
My thoughts on Xbox: they have Halo. Easily the most popular game in America on all consoles. Halo is played at universitys like CounterStrike was 5 years ago. Everyone plays it, pretty much everyone likes it but a few oddball haters. People love playing their Halo on XboxLive.
Halo will keep the Xbox systems extremely competitive, if not defeat the PS3 in American sales due to its existence.
This is the new counterstrike.
PS: Excellent game catalog, but they have no Halo. Tekken, FF, had GTA first ect but I cant think of a "killer app" for PS3 that makes me want to run out and buy it. Nintendo/MS both have at least one of those games.
