The Wii is a repackaged Gamecube gimmick and is going to fail.
Yes, that's why so many people are having tons of fun with it and it has continued to stay sold out
There is nothing wrong with the conosle, and it's not
just a repackaged gamecube with a remote.

Although I'm lacking a bit of nitty gritty info on the Wii specs at the moment, I do have the above, both the CPU and GPU of which are supposed to be die shrinks and improvements upon the original Gamecube CPU and GPU. So, there is more horsepower in there. Games for the Wii CAN and WILL look better than Gamecube games as time goes on, but as most of us know this system was not meant to compete with the X360 or PS3 graphically.
Resistance: Fall of Man has the graphics of HL2 and half the X360 and PS3 games look no better than the latest good Xbox and PS2 titles. So next gen! Guess I can't buy those games now because they're not pretty enough
Anyway, like I said before, playing sports games can be IMMENSELY more fun on the Wiimote than another console's controller. In addition, it has good non sports titles that have no problem using the remote as a viable controller without getting in the way of gameplay or enjoyability.
I don't understand the hostility towards this system...
Get what makes you happy. Heck, get both if you can afford it.
