Xbox 360 To Ps3?

Anyone get rid of there xbox 360 and replaced it with a ps3 by any chance? please no bashing of either console unless you have something intelligent to say.

I did. I was thinking about picking up one of the newer falcon 360s, but theres some good games coming
out for ps3 and pc that should keep me busy. Maybe next price drop ill pick one up or when they
release one with an hddvd drive.

Cant say that i miss having the box though.

What do you recommend if i were to get a ps3? Warhawk seemed pretty damn cool.

I own a PS3 and a 360... I'd never give up the latter for the prior.

If I could only afford one, I'd go with the 360 for gaming, but then Mass Effect is a 360 exclusive for at least the next year and possibly forever.

For cross-platform games, the PS3 version has often lacked features or had at least slightly inferior graphics, so for those games the 360 has the edge.

I do like my PS3, but have mostly been using it as a blu-ray player while I catch up on unplayed PC and PS2 games I already own.

PS3 games on my to-rent list include Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden and Lair. I might get Warhawk but it's online multiplayer only, which isn't where I spend much gaming time.

Hmm im still debating. Right now i have orange box, halo 3 and oblivion. I kind of liked the ps3 because i can put any drive in there and install linux and other type of stuff. Dedicated servers is a plus.

I have both, and honestly the Xbox 360 is a better purchase for the time being. I LOVE the ps3 itself. I love the hardware and UI of the PS3; the system just feels so smooth yet powerful. On the otherhand, the 360 feels sluggish and has an annoying menu (IMO). However, the differences in gaming libraries are ridiculous; the 360 is superior by far in that aspect.

I don't regret my purchase of the PS3 though. I can tell that I will come to love this system even more in the future. <3

Let's be honest: If you want games, buy a 360. If you want some PS3 exclusive games(not many ATM) + blu-ray player capabilities, then get a PS3.

Currently, no matter what anyone says, 360 has PS3 beat in the games category.

:thumbsup: GT5 prologue demo is sweet. The folklore demo is nice. R&C demo is pretty nice to. Ill be picking thoughs up eventually Warhawk is really fun mp game.

I'd recommend the PS3 if you're into the PS exclusive titles (MGS, GT, FF, Killzone, etc). The 360, however, has an excellent (and better) selection of games, with some released this year being some amazing games.

I personally see the PS3 having the most potential for the future, and I also see it holding the majority of the gaming market (unlike it is currently). That's all just speculatiion, so I don't advise you to buy based on what anyone thinks might happen.

Either way, you will likely not be disappointed.

And yes, get Warhark. That's all I need to say.

I have both, but the 360's library and Xbox live dominate the POS3. I have only turned my PS3 on in the last 6 months to make sure I had it hooked up to my receiver properly.

XBox live is the feature that will kill the PS3. One central login point to play games online, not the crappy mismash POS3 currently has.

Having the guide available in game is a killer feature for the 360 IMO. There were rumors Sony was working on making the XMB accessible in-game. The integration of Live is great as well, it's so nice being able to see what all my friends are playing and then subsequently invite them to a private chats to setup games.

I really have no experience with the PSN, so I can't comment on how good it is, but I'm very satisfied with Xbox Live (even for $30 a year).

Also all my friends own 360s so thats a plus. If all my friends had PS3's I'm sure I'd be much more tempted to get one.

I did, and then got another 360 afterwards because of Halo. Just get whatever you like. I have both because I want to play games that are exclusive to both. Plus, I have $$$ to spare because I don't PC-game.

Thats what i plan on doing. I wanna get a 360 elite later on.

I don't see how people actually like the XMB on the PS3. I think it's fine on the PSP, but you don't see me clamoring to find a way to stick Windows CE on my laptop. I also don't find it very smooth when you're updating the console. Nor do I like the fact that Sony forces you to update the console for certain games. For example, my start of Ratchet and Clank was delayed by 20 minutes because the game requires 1.94 and I had 1.93. I hated that about the PSP and I don't enjoy it with the PS3 either.

I have both and currently the 360 is a much better gaming console. The current 360 game library far surpasses the ps3 and will so for quite a while. The only reason I have a ps3 is blu-ray movies, ps2 backwards compatability(60gb version), and gt5 coming out next year. To be honest gt5 and some jrpgs will probably be the only games I will own for the ps3. Most games are going multiplatform and if they are on both I'd much rather play them on the 360 just because imo the 360 controller is much better than the sixaxis.

I dont have time to play all the games I want to play on the 360, and looking into the next few months I think I will be further behind!

At the same time I cant see a single game on the PS3 that is out now, or in the next 12 months that I want to play.

Yet I still want a PS3 deep down, why? Because I am a hardware addict.... but for once sanity has control of me and has stopped me buying what would be the most expensive paperweight I ever owned. IF i did crack and bought a PS3 I would never sell the 360 because I want something to still play games on as opposed to just staring at

It has a much better controller, it has much better games, and it has xbox live.
