If you are still looking for one of these, the Walmart ad that I got in todays paper (12/27) So Cal, shows the Core system on the cover for $ 299.92 and the Premium one for $ 399.92. I would assume they have some in stock now, but have not confirmed it.

Games also listed, Kameo & PGR for $49.92

Um, how is this a hot deal? 7 cents off?

Btw, they have zero in stock.

Not a hot deal as much as it is informing people of where they might find a hot and hard to find item.

Buy them all and put them on ebay. It's not too late to still make a $200+ profit on each one.

By the way, I heard from a friend that works for Microsoft that there will be a lot of units sent out around Jan 15. With Christmas over and more and more coming soon, just wait a couple of weeks and you will be able to just go into the store and buy one.

They should re-direct some of the supply originally intended for Japan over here. It's not selling worth a crap over there.

Maybe, but the ebgames and gamestop sites are both saying possibly delays until March.
I think that is a little exaggerated since more shipments are coming out at places like Target, BB, Walmart, etc. I think it might go into Feb before eBay prices end at msrp.

ok RENOB, did you happen to call every walmart in the US b/c for some reason i'm thinking you didn't?

I"ve personally been patiently waiting so hopefully I'll be able to get one from walmart, target or meijer soon. I have one reserved at ebgames but who knows when that will come in. Plus, I'd almost rather get it from a diff store since eb return/CS has always sucked for me.

Ah this reminds me. I was walking through best buy yesterday and they had their xbox 360 demo unit set up. There was a small crowd around it watching some kid play. Suddenly this dad who is sitting there watching it with his kid tells his kid (loudly to make sure everyone heard it) "You got one of those man! You got one!" Man I wanted to punch that guy....

uhh....and then I found 5 dollars....

Well I would hope so, seeing as to how the Gamecube has been out for 4 years, and the 360 only for little over a month.

As for the little spat on people putting these things up on eBay, I absolutely loathe that new consoles now are bought solely for the purpose of making a profit on eBay, but then again, if idiots want to pay 50-100% more than the retail price, why not? I'm completely on the fence with the situation.

Well, what I meant is that during the week that 360 was released in japan there were more gamecubes sold in Japan during that week than 360s.

That would work if you really enjoy playing your games and viewing your movies in Japanese. Sure the power cord will work, but AFAIK, most (if not all) of the games released so far are regionally-locked... and all mainstream DVDs are.

No xbox 360 this afternoon in Oakland CA. Craig's List seems to have dozens of listing daily, though I don't know how real those are.
