MS hasn't released the accessory that allows the 360 Wireless controllers to work on the PC. I can't remember when it will be released though. Probably not until Spring next year.

Here for anyone that's lazy.

Thanks OP, I think I'll try the price-match as well. Who do I talk to at Wal-Mart?

You can get about the same price at Buy.com. They have the controller for $47.99 with free shipping. Just find a filler item for $2.01 or more (I got princess stickers for my little girls) and Google Checkout. My order came to $34.xx shipped. About what you'd pay at KMart with tax added in. Might be a good option for those without a Kmart in the area.

I have a wireless controller for my xb360. I bought a charge and play kit ($19) for my xb360, and I pluged it into the usb on my pc and it recognized it as a controller.

Hope that helps.

Alright. Just got back from Wal-Mart. Called one Wal-Mart and they said they wouldn't price match since I printed it from the internet. Called the second and the lady said she "thought" they would do it. So I head there and a guy gets one for me and then gets busy (I think he would have given it to me for $29). The manager calls me over to his line to check out and says they can't do it. So it's a nogo on the price match.

Gear.IGN.com does a review. Coming out later this month for $20.
The Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver will begin shipping later this month and essentially makes a PC fully capable of accepting any and all first-party Xbox 360 wireless peripherals. The dongle connects via USB and can manage 4 wireless 360 controllers and headsets at a time, as well as the new 360 Wireless Racing Wheel and any future 360 controllers from MS. Installation is a simple driver install, and the dongle has a sync button that ties it to a controller much like the Xbox 360.

As things stand with Windows XP, probably the most useful aspect of the Wireless Gaming Receiver is getting the 360 Racing Wheel to play nicely with the PC, since it's a pretty nice wheel. The wireless 360 pads also work just fine with the Wireless Receiver and Windows XP, but it won't be until Vista and the newly branded Games For Windows roll out in 2007 that the full utility of the Wireless Gaming Receiver will become apparent. Nevertheless, the $19.99 dongle is a relatively affordable and functional accessory for getting double duty out of your 360 controller accessories.

I should have done this. Went to Best Buy (was fed up with the slightly jerk-ish guy at WalMart) and found out they too price match. Unfortunately the electronics department at the nearest K-Mart is reeeeeeeeeally slow and we were on hold for probably 15 minutes before they finally took our call. They confirmed the price (since it's not in any ads OR online) and I paid and left.

So yeah, Walmart and Best Buy both price match if you're lookin' to score one.

Went back today to pick up 2 more at my local walmart. Kmart has been sold out fr a few days now. Grabbed 2 and headed to the register, asked for the pricematch and they wanted the ad. My local walmart usually keeps all ads.. so we thumbed through them but no kmart ad?? So the cashier sent me to the returns desk. CSM called kmart to verify the price. Kmart informed walmart that they were on sale for $20 a piece. I went ahead and picked up a third one at that price..

cliffs..

1.went walmart with no ad
2. cashier called kmart
3. kmart said they are $20 not $30 each
4. bought 3 at $20 a piece

$20 each! You lucky devil! At that price I'd go grab two more myself. I could justify having 4 if they're only costing me $20 each.
