just make sure you hit the tiny reconnect button on your controller when you first turn it on.

This place is just like Deal Extreme or DX. Im about to buy a chopper if I can afford it, its freakin huge.

I have one of these already and can say that most newer games on the market are already set up by default to work with your xbox controller.

I bought one from DX and from the pics - it looks to be the same receiver - the driver disc is the same...

Thanks for the link. They were a couple pennies less so I linked it to them instead for they are cheaper and I have bought a TON of shit from them, so I know they can be trusted.

Just did a quick test with Street Fighter 4 - and I can tell you it supports at least two Xbox 360 controllers.....

And DX is not? DX has been around forever and I would trust them more then I would from somebody out of HK or here. Well worth the $1.50 savings I would get by buying off ebay, knowing DX has been around and you get your stuff pretty fast for free shipping out of China, Id stick with them.

And how does one know that these would be a pain to install the drivers for if they had experience with them or could show a link to where people are complaining that their adapter wont install. For if that be the case Id yank this thread right away. Plus I find if funny that you mention for others to buy the knock offs off ebay for $10, then bash them and say their drivers are a pain if you do buy one without linking to anything to back up your statement. I would think that if there was a problem with installing these, they have a ton of reviews warning people to stay clear of them. But there is not. And I went though 22 pages on ebay and didnt see one US seller on there. All the ones I saw I clicked on came from HK.

Technically, these knockoffs use the exact same binaries as the Microsoft dongle. The only difference is in the text-based INF file, where a USB ID identifying the device is slightly altered from the Microsoft dongle.

I bought one of these a LONG time ago, and the INF file had to be altered to get it to work... but after that, no problems.

Basically, they are identical to the Microsoft dongles.

the microsoft original ones are china made anyway... i wouldnt be surprised if these knockoff are from the same manufacturer.

ive had issues with my original one on win7 64bit too... but once you get it working its fine.

and dealextreme has been around for a long time! they are a very good store!

I bought mine from Ebay a while back. First one was defective and the seller shipped out a replacement immediately and the second one works great. I just had to manually install the driver and it worked.

clearly my point was if you are gonna buy knockoffs, buy it from a us seller that has them in the US (not a HK seller like DX) that wont take 2-3weeks to arrive...and ...drumroll... FOR LESS MONEY!

yeah i would buy from deal extreme just so ebay doesnt get the nice big cut from the deal that the seller created. sure, ebay helped advertise, but what they charge for that service is steep. anytime i find something on ebay i always check to see if the seller has their own website store, and if they do i use that.
