XBOX 360's Available in Walmarts Every Week

Many websites have had the info, but Walmarts are getting small shipments of 360s in weekly. I picked up 2 at the Oak Park Heights, Minnesota Walmart, with 4 left! Best Buy will also be doing a "relaunch" this weekend, the 360s will be in thier ad, so expect lines again.

I can give you 1 data point and tell you mine has been working flawlessly since 11/19 (won from everytenminutes.com). I set it horizontally on the shelf that fine Saturday and haven't touched it yet (except to load in different games).

MS is reporting only ~3% of units are being reported as defective...and they are quickly repairing or replacing those.

At one of the Walmarts I called, he told me to keep calling everyday as soon as they open. He said they get 3 small shipments per week, and they don't know when. Which is kind of hard to believe...but what can you do!

I believe 5% is the approximate RMA rate for the last few console releases. The PS2 was notorious for going bad and there was actually a class action lawsuit or two against Sony because of it.

I work in the electronics department in a Wal-Mart in MA, and we have yet to get any more shipments in since the launch. As far as we know, we will not see anymore until at least the middle of January or later.

And not that I'm a bitter guy or anything, but during the holiday season, it's no fun having to deal with the normal gang of crazed shoppers AND answering the phone every ten minutes explaining that we have no Xbox 360s.

Just one more week...

The sales dude at my local Wally World (Lynnwood, WA) said they've had a few shipments - they most recenttly put some out on Sunday evening. Of course, none when I was there yesterday.
