Not really a great deal, here are the prices at Best Buy (which has free shipping)

X-box console w/ 1 controller - $200
1 additional controller - $30
Halo - $50
NBA Inside Drive - $30

Your total comes out to $310.
If you'd be willing to buy used games, you can get them even cheaper on Ebay. Look around, you can probably find better deals elsewhere.

I haven't verified it, but I was told that SAMS has the x-box, 2 controllers, 2 games, and the dvd remote for $250. If that is true it's a prett food deal, so anyone who frequents Sams may want to check it out.

Costco online is selling NBA inside drive for $24.99 and Halo for $43.99. So if you buy the console and extra controller anywhere at listed price and get those games at Costco:

$200 + $30 + $25 + $44 = $299

Synoptic, when I was at a NH Sam's Saturday they had that bundle but it wasn't for $250.
It was either $279, $299, or $329. online they have a two controller, two game, bundle
without the dvd remote for
$299

One thing about Costco, if you dohn't like it you can take it back and get all your money, no hassle.

But if you want to save your Xbox DVD9 disks, you can download Halo ripped onto 4 CDs. You do need a mod chip though, but nice to save your $40+ Halo DVD. You can also download Halo on a DVD-R version if you have a DVD burner, but only for backup purposes.

Just to let others know... not everyone shares this opinion. My friends and I really enjoy Inside Drive.

Costco also has the DVD kit for $23, $30 everywhere else. It's a real nice DVD, fast, no artifacts and has a nice zoom feature. My old Konka settop player was relegated to the bedroom and our Xbox is our primary DVD player. Unfortunately, it does not play VCDs or SVCDs, but it play DVD-Rs great, even with cheap media.

anyhoo ebgames actually has a nicer deal with that 50$ rebate..
279 with halo and s controller then you pick a game and get a 50$ rebate..
can pick among cheapies (possibly even preowned?) at 20$ -30$ or get good games like morrowind and DOA3..
unfortunatly they dont have JETSET which the only reason i want to own an xbox.. i LOOOOOOOVE the DC version
