Xbox Holiday Bundle w/ 4 games $179.99 at Target

Just got back from target where they ran add this week for free platinum hits game with purchase of xbox console.

They already had the holiday bundle out on the store rack which included mech assault, tetris worlds, and clone wars - then i picked up splinter cell as the free game (could choose any platinum hit). All for $179.99.

what city, state target did u go to? i just bought a xbox from the colma target on saturday and it only included mech assault, tetris worlds, and star wars the clone wars. i didn't see any mention of that 4th free game anywhere there. is it possible to go back and get the free platinum game? when did this deal start?

San Jose, CA weekly ads also shows only 2 games + 1 platinum game. Not available on line. Might be good to grab an ad from Target and PM at Walmart or somewhere.

It's not shown in the ad because it was a promo for the 2 day ad after Thanksgiving. Many of these Target exclusives XBOX bundles should still be left over from the promo so you should be able to score one pretty easily. And the deal just started Sunday, 11/30.

d'oh! the special started sunday and i just bought a xbox from target on saturday...argh!!! i can't return/rebuy either cause i opened it and played it...or can i? =(

You sure can. You have a 90 day window to return anything you buy at Target no matter what. Just remember to bring your receipt.

Wow, I will have to check out my target. I have wanted an Xbox for a while. For one there are a few exclusive games on it I want to play. Plus I like being able to turn it into a media center console. 180.00 was still a little 2 steep for me with the 2 games it comes with, but with 4 games, that make sit a bit better.

SO your saying the new holiday bundle they have out is like the normal one now with the S controler Tetris worlds, clone wars AND mech assault all in the box?

i called target and they won't let me do it because he said it's a free item, if it were a price adjustment he said he could adjust the price, and he said since i opened and played it already i can't return/rebuy, they can only exchange if it's defective. damn =(

i am not sure about this one either......is mech assault live only? my tetris / star wars disk has something about mech assault and xbox live on it but when i select mech assault, it gives me an error and says i need to plug in my adapter.
and the box makes NO mention of mech assault being on the disk.

maybe i got the 3 game bundle -- i bought mine at FYE last friday for $149 AR and it came with terminator dawn of fate (or something like that)

is the serial number on your receipt...i know with PS2 they used to put the serial number on the receipt, but my fye receipt doesn't have the serial number....do you see where i am going with this?????

buy another one with the bonus and then take the new one back (console only - not the free game) with your receipt from saturday and get your money back....remember this will only work if your serial number is NOT on the receipt!!!!

Make sure you get 007: Agent Under Fire as your free game.. With a few tricks you can mod your xbox with out a modchip using this game..

mechassault should be on a completley different disk and dvd case like a lone game by itself. the only two games that should be one one disk is tetris worlds and star wars clone wars.

HDDY, yes I am talking about the box with mech assault in it. I didn't realize it was just a stick on the box. My target has the consoles in a glass case and you can only see the side of the box. I t clearly listed Tetris and Clone wars, but I saw no mention of mech assault, perhaps I just couldn't see the side with the sticker.

Did someone say this perticular holiday bundle with the 3 games was advertised in the thanksgiving target ad? I must have missed it. It specifically mentioned the addition of mech assault as a free game?



By the way tadpole, if I were you I would edit your post. I happen to know of someone that mentioned the same thing to someone else quite a while ago. That person is now banned permanately. So I think it is a little more serious then you think, or at least the mods don't want people talking about it.

I believe the 3 game Target package was just for Black Friday ... (and there after until the supply ran out). I actually picked up the last box with the 3 game pack at a Target near my house in Houston. They had 5 other Xbox packages left with the 2 game bundle.

I actually went to a Target in Richardson today with my receipt and got them to do a paper return and re-purchase to get the "free" game. So I got the 3 games plus (WWE Raw. <-- button pushing at it's finest.)
