hmm i bought 2 refurbs a few days ago from overstock... this might actually be better seeing its "new" in "brown box"

In my opinion if you can hold off, I'd say hold off till August. Logitech apparently is coming out with new wireless PS2 and Xbox gamepads that supposedly get 300 hours on a set of AAs. Although from the article, it doesn't sound like they have vibration support.

Otherwise a pretty good deal on an awesome controller. Analog stick feels a little loose for my liking but having no cord restrictions is awesome and outweighs my personal con. I've got Logitech wireless gamepads for my Xbox and PS2.

Well, I don't own this controller, but I own the PS2 version of this controller and it is amazing. It feels tougher then my Sony branded controller, and having no cords is AWESOME! It is really quite amazing. My bro owns a wireless mouse and it's kind of crappy, as you can imagine I had my doubts about buying one of these wireless controllers. There is no lag with this controller, none at all. It seems a little small, but other than this, it's about as close to perfection as controllers go, especially wireless ones.

I had one of these a few months ago, lag was so bad games were unplayable. I'm talking 1-2 seconds lag between button being pushed and reaction in the game. I took it back and tried another set, same result. I really wish they had worked out because I wanted a wireless XBOX controller, but there was no way I could play with these. Hopefully their rumored upcoming one will work better (at least for me, no one else seems to have problems with lag)

End of this year or beginning of next year. Ofcourse the dates arn't exact.

What does buying a $400 xbox 360 in november have to do with buying a $25 xbox controller in august?

I think hes saying why bother waiting.

The controller in the deal is superior the new one is just designed to have a lower msrp. The amount of hours you can play is identical when you turn off the motors.
