Now with the new no-solder modchips for the Xbox coming out, I think they are gonna blow wide open. They'll finally start competing with the PS2.
I haven't heard of the no-solder chips...last one I heard about was the 1-wire mod chip that is out now. However, that is a bit deceiving because you actually have to solder 11 places, I think. PM me if you have any info...I'd be interested in hearing more.
Also, I think MS is changing the XBOX boards now days. If I remember correctly, they are on their second or third motherboard now, so it sounds like they are going to try the dodge game along with Sony.
$150 is a great price. I might have to pick one up after the network gets up and running.
the webpage for the chip is http://www.xodus-chip.com/ its not released yet either
Xodus is still vaporware at this point, no pictures and details.... I'd expect it some clip on device, most likely to the LPC header of the Xbox.
There are also no confirmed motherboard changes yet... rumors of course.. but nobody has posted pictures of any version 2 or beyond of the Xbox motherboard.
