Xbox/PS2/Gamecube games/accessories 30% off @ Virgin Mega (Amex Blue)

This is an extension of the Virgin Mega thread. I just stopped by an NYC Virgin (on Broadway) and all games/accessories are 30% off using your Amex Blue.

ie all $50 games are $35 etc.

I managed to pick up 2 Xbox games + 2 contollers for about $140. There game selection for the GC/Xbox are limited but well worth it.

For those also waiting for games coming out after December 26th (last day of the Blue deal) whenever you make a purchase over $50 they give you a voucher book. It includes 2 coupons for $25 off $100, 2 coupons for $10 off $50. Plus a few other inside. The coupon book is valid till March 31st.

I am going to try to find another ViriginMega that has F1 2001 and Silent Hill 2. Made the mistake off not buying a Memory card

FYI if you are super lucky you can might be able to pick up a GC/Xbox bundle for 30% off as well. Most places do have PS2 units (or so I'm told) but not the on on Broadway between 45th and 46th.

Thats true but for most of the population who have never bothered to enter a VirginMega store all they will assume it will have is some music CDs/DVDs which most people here would not bother with.

I found out by chance. I was actually looking for some music in the Electronica section when I stumbled by there gaming section. I was looking for an excuse to pickup 2 spare controllers and a few games

FYI to those of you waiting for the 26th to combine the AMEX 30% off with the Virgin coupon books, my friend told me the employees in the Block at the Orange store said that they would not allow a combination of the two discounts. He also called AMEX and they also said that it would not be allowed. I might go try regardless, but just thought I'd give you all a heads up.

The Gamecube bundle is $399 at Virgin Megastore on LI. You get an extra controller, a choice of 3 games, and an extra memory card. They only had the indigo one, but it was in stock! With AMEX blue, the bundle would have cost, with tax, alittle over $300. Sadly, my AMEX Blue limit for the month didn't have enough room for this one last purchase, oh well

I was at Burbank at 10:30am and the guy didn't say anything and let me checkout with the stacked discount.

I was also at the Sunset Bl. store three days before and the sales person even told me to use the coupon and the 30% off on the 26th because of overlap.

I went to the Burbank store at around 9pm and they let me stack the discounts (30% + coupon). I saw plenty of other people who were doing the same.
BTW, Burbank, Costa Mesa, Orange and Sunset stores let me do the double discounts.
