How is it pathetic? It’s an amazing achievement on the console and I’m surprised it runs as well as it does. Plus with VRR and 120hz the frame rate is unlocked so it can occasionally hit 60fps. It’s just an overall amazing looking game that does things no other game does right now.

I’m not sure why you even had to post this comment. The game is doing a whole lot more than Ratchet and Clank on ps5 which is not full time 4k either and only runs at 40fps in fidelity mode after the latest patch. That’s not to say it’s terrible or pathetic either but compared to what’s going on in MS Flight Sim, it’s not that impressive.
Because these consoles are touted as being 4k@60fps beasts and they can't even get close to that yet. And people thought a 4k Switch was something that would be a reality when a generation past them can't even do it. I was somewhat interested in this game but the smoothness of 60fps is something I need now a days, and I'm only running in 1080p as my projector is 1080p.

Not sure why you brought up R&C either. It's pathetic they can't get 4k@60fps out of that too.

I hate how this generation has options for performance and fidelity modes. I'd rather he devs make the game as they would intend it to be played and leave it at that, whether it's 30fps or 60fps @ 1080p or 4k. It would result in more polished games. Speaking of R&C, it was fantastic but also buggy as shit.

Not surprised at all with MS flight on series X. That game is demanding even on PC with good hardware.

I don't see any issue with fidelity or performance modes on the consoles. You have the option to set a game to 4k-like upscaled 30fps or variable resolution and 60fps and most of the time the variable resolution doesn't drop that drastically. If you are playing on max 1080p this shouldn't even be a concern.

The fact you can't get fidelity mode to run at 30fps @ 1080p is pretty sad too.

That does suck but I thought some games on series x allowed you to disable/enable some graphics settings..some games only though not every title. I would expect that from a Microsoft title even on this console. The pc version has a ton of options to tweak for graphics obviously.

Maybe they do. I think I do remember Doom Eternal having some stuff like that but can't remember excactly. Demon's Souls and R&C just had some sort of fidelity/performance mode setting if I recall, neither of which ran above 30fps @ 1080p.

But again, I am just personally not a fan of that crap. I'd rather the developer make the game look how they designed it to look. I stopped PC gaming long ago and one of the reasons was because of having to tweak all this crap and console gaming is just getting closer and closer to PC gaming at this point. But it's just something I'll have to deal with for now on this current gen.

It's so refreshing when I get a new Switch game, pop the cartridge in, click the game on the home screen and am playing it instantly.

purbeast0 hates Xbox and it's been going on for years. Take it with a grain of salt and move on. Not worth responding to.

Damn you still salty AF that I made a nice chunk of change reselling consoles cause your lazy ass was too lazy to put in the work to get one.
You mean you were a scalper and ripping off people? Nope, not salty. I have 3 PS5 and I never involved or purchased from you. That has nothing to do with this. I'm talking about your multiple statements on the forums. I get it, PS5 has great games, but that doesn't mean MS doesn't, or won't have great games.

Played through Prey. Superb game, the FPS boost is a game changer, game was painful at 30FPS. One thing though, FPS boost + quick resume can be a little bit buggy at times. I experienced a few times where something got bugged. Sound, FPS or something else got messed up after quick resuming. Quitting to menu and reloading fixed it.

Nope, I decided it's far more wise for me to make 125+k in my job and not chase multiple consoles like a loser scalper. Guess it all boils down to what your actual job is and what you

Not it, at all. You trash Xbox ever chance you get. It's a bit pathetic. Grow up? If you don't like it, don't respond and don't trash the product. You act like a child.

I do not mind and actually welcome being able to play a game at 60fps without ray tracing etc or choosing to turn everything on and get 30. For most single player games it’s ok for me. Shooters and racing games no way. They have to be at 60. In the case of MS Flight Sim, it’s so casual and basically just an environment showpiece that it never feels bad at 30. You have to remember too that they have real-time weather effects and basically infinite draw distance in flight sim.

It's all just based on how people perceive stuff too. I'm super picky about framerates and input lag and stuff.

My buddy who told me about Fallen Order can't even tell the difference between the framerate difference between fidelity and performance mode. I was like dude are you serious? And then when he was here I showed it to him and tried to explain it and he could finally tell a little difference. Then I put in Ratchet and Clank to show him there too cause it's drastic to me in that too. Again he could hardly tell the difference.

So some people simply can't perceive the difference and/or don't care about it.

Certain games don’t feel right or require quick movements that 60fps or higher really helps with. 120fps in Doom Eternal is pretty significant. I welcome the choice though. Sometimes I want all the eye candy. I am playing Control Ultimate Edition on series x right now and I tried it both ways. Sure movement is better at 60fps but the 30fps mode has ray tracing which makes such a big impact visually that I can’t give it up. I don’t have a ps5 but I played a bit of Spider-Man on it and again I would take ray tracing for the visual pop it gives the game over the 60fps. I wouldn’t accept 30fps for fighters, racing games, or shooters. Action games I’m 50/50 on depending on what type of game it is. Like I couldn’t play DMC or Bayonetta at 30fps I don’t think. For something more story driven I would be more accepting of it for the sake of having better environments etc.

I am playing on a 4K TV with 120hz and VRR options as well but I don’t see why they can’t have a 1080p ray tracing mode @ 60fps with a little AA to smooth it out. Real time 4K is processing intensive and for many titles not feasible. Hopefully FSR will help there. I think the 4K push came too soon for gaming and the focus should have instead been on better HDR and ray tracing. I feel like 4K is a marketing tactic and a checkbox to tick. Just like they say the series x and ps5 are 8k ready. Yeah for video, not games

Cost of living, buddy. You do the math. Most of your post on here is a low blow to MS. We all know your agenda.

EDIT: It's hilarious you claim to make over 125k, yet you were scalping consoles? Who is the real peasant here? I don't have to scalp and rip off people to make money. LOL, sounds like a real loser.

Any game that has the option to be 30fps or 60fps, the 30fps always feels sluggish to me. But if a game is ONLY 30fps and I never experience it in 60fps, then it doesn't feel sluggish to me.

speaking of Xbox, freaking Halo Infinity multiplayer is looking like it's going to be a blast. A good sci fi multi shooter with a huge player base? The holy grail.

Yeah the videos of the beta look pretty fun. I like the pace and speed of it.

My only problem with online FPS games is I don't have the time to get good at em so I don't really play em much anymore. And when I do, I'll get my ass kicked for the most part since I'm just not very good at them. I'm going to give that one a try though for sure. I'll be curious what I'll have to do to play it online since I don't have Gamepass and don't even know if you can get XBL Gold anymore. I do hope they have some of the classic levels from part 1, 2, and 3 that were super popular.

I'm more interested in the single player of Halo Infinite at this point though, which they haven't shown yet since they went back to the drawing board.

Halo multiplayer shouldn't require gold as it is F2P.

Not surprising that the Halo MP is showing well. 343 has always done this part well. It is the single player campaign they have struggled with.

Oh yeah that is right I forgot they made that change recently about F2P games not requiring Gold to play online.

Will be interesting to see. Mostly want this for MP, but I would like to play online co-op for the campaign as well. Playing SP to me is boring for whatever reasons. Since Far Cry blew my mind, no single player shooter campaign has dragged me in. It's just not my thing. Add a friend in the mix, and they are fun as fuck.

Xbox tough to find. Lately only Walmart has been stocking it occasionally and it sells out in seconds. Every 10 min they restock after the initial restock. After a few refreshes I'll see it in stock but when I immediately click add to stock, it's unable to do so as it's now out of stock.

Fucking walmart. I log in a bit early to get ready for a 9pm restock. It asks me to press and hold a box on the screen to protect my account. Basically this must be a safeguard to try to avoid scripts/bots or what not. So it takes a few tries but I log in. 9pm comes and I go to add an xbox to my cart, and it tells me to press and hold a box again to protect my account. I do it and it just asks me to do it again, and again, and again, and again. Log out, log back in. Same shit happened at the 9:10 and 9:20 restock.

Useless website.
