Apparently, the same story about Smoking Xbox was in Poland apart from the mentioned here at least three, exact same cases.
And in the States, at least one another person has shown that his own Xbox smoked similarly, and had the exact same sound effect to electric kettle:

Minecraft (mission critical app!) performance is unworldly better. Kids definitely noticed it. They love piling up TNT boxes and detonating them, on the One this would mean you would have nice 10-15 second wait to see "what happened". They were delighted to see this destruction happen in real time. Goodbye Jaguar, you aren't going to be missed. Draw distance is much further, RTX update in the future is going to blow minds. Can't wait.
Only one real downer so far - the remote relies on IR. (The One media remote). I was hoping that the MS Media Center IR USB receiver (has a really long cord, made for XP Media Center, worked with Media Center until 10) would somehow work, it doesn't. I had to minor re-arrange things so I had a clear LOS to the front of the console.
