My friend recently purchased an Xbox and was looking for a way to play online. I told him they sell wireless game adapters but after looking at the price I told him that I'd look for an alternative method. I was curious if I could run a cat5e wire from the back of the Xbox and plug it into an empty network plug-in on the back of his computer. The computer has a wireless network card that communicates with the router in the basement. I was just curious if I could use the computer to receive a signal therefore networking the Xbox. Also, I was curious if he could purchase another router or access point, to function as the wireless game adapter would. If you have an answer to any of these questions or any other solutions please post.
