I ve changed tons of set ups in the last 20 years for my hobby, i ve read lots of computer magazines and my point is DO YOU really believe a modern cpu is a bottleneck for a fast gpu?
Of course i i don't mean a celeron e 1500 pair with a 780 gtx BUT WILL u seriously notice a difference in ANY game between a XEON x5650 and even an i7 3930K??????
Not meaning in (3d mark or cinebench) BUT in ANY game like Crysis 3??????
Not tell me 120fps to 125fps is a difference because its only marketing HYPE!!!
After spending lots of money in pc hardware the only VFM hardware is a powerful gpu pair with a mid-high cpu, A Xeon X5650 clocked to 4Ghz just fly,
Forget to mention the last major hardware change in cpu world was the change from (conroe, ketsfield) core 2 duo quad, to (bloomfield, golftown) core 17, 5 years ago Thiw was a whole new pc architecture even that was a smaller change from back to 2006 when we passed from pentium 4 to core 2 chips, The last 4 years because intel has the monopoly in cpu market we have the same architecture with very little changes (like 45nm to 32nm and 22nm in Haswell chips) BUT the architecture remains the SAME, In 2006 it was impossible to compete a core 2 duo even E6300 with e P Exterme Edition even it was clocked to sky high
