No we would be satisified if ATi actually released a product they launched...It is becoming a far to frequent problem. I would buy it if it was a good mobo. Nvidia boards are no gems, and have many issue of their own. Actually many many issues, but that is for another discussion.

ok, point taken. I just fear that we are getting too close in similarity to another failed graphics accelerator company. Especially with all ATI exec stock problems, it kind of reeks of mismanagement. But with most of the other video chip developers being absorbed by other companies, or being stuck making crappy integrated solutions. It makes you wonder what will happen IF R520=V5? Obviously this is a different situation, because ATI is not foolishly trying to make it's own cards, but you still have to worry. Or maybe that is just me because I am a cheap-skate, and like to pay as little as possible for the best performance? (commonly referred to as bang for buck)

You're overreacting (see, the fanboyism in here is getting to you ).
ATI still gets a decent chunk of change from the laptop market and soon to be the Xbox360 and Nintendo Revolution (ok, the jury's out on how much the second one will make them ). Also, despite these delays, the company is not on the brink of implosion like 3dfx was. 3dfx was a horribly managed company, weakend (irreperably so) by a half-assed merger (with STB), steeped in hubris and peddling old product.
ATI still has products to compete in the meantime, has R520 coming out soon, and any sales from Crossfire increase their position in the motherboard market over ~0% that they have now. Cheer up there big guy .
