XFL to possibly expand

Just heard on Fox News that the XFL is wanting to expand with between 2 to 4 new teams, one of which could be Washington D.C. Here's a quote from Rich Rose who heads the leage expansion committee:

I went to an XFL game here in orlando (The Rage are in first place by the way) and all it was was a bunch of drunk rowdy rednecks throwing beer on each other. The game was worse than most division II college games, and the cheerleaders never took their clothes off. I give it one more year.

Where? The WWF is a multibillion dollar corp, so is NBC, each own part of the XFL. Of course rumor has NBC dumping the Sat night game for a new series and the series will be cheap to produce.

The ratings last weekend were the lowest EVER for NBC primetime on Saturday. Talk about FAILURE. High hopes and aspirations are now dashed.

Yeah, the XFL is about the biggest flop ever. I do not even know if it will be back next year. As far as the money, Vince is probably siphoning off some of the money he has made from the WWF......

From what I heard last week the ratings for the XFL were lower than every other show on any channel including the Food Channel. I'd be surprised if they survive the year, let alone expand.

Actually you are all wrong, it was the lowest rated sporting event in network television history. The all news channels avg 1.5 or less(1.8 for Larry King, 2.2 for O'Reily) so it wasn't the lowest.

Look, it's so simple I can't believe you don't drop it. Your ignorance doesn't go as far as to that you have to mention my name in another thread, reather than reply directly to me.

There's also something just something wrong about someone wishing ill about a company they know absolutely nothing about. Am I wrong here?

If the WWF were making bombs or forcing children into labor then I could see your incredibly major gripe with them.

But seeing as you don't watch, and that you don't know anything about them, and I've yet to see you make any good points, or any reasonable points for that matter. At least Phil Mushnick and the PTC who spend their lives bashing the WWF and have personal vendettas against Vince McMahon actually watch it. You're no better than any of them.

Please describe some of the things that you're interested in. It'd be most enlightening.

actually, S3, it was the lowest ratings for a BROADCAST NETWORK ever, tied with an ABC special about the drug war. broadcast being sent out on airwaves from TV towers, network being a national distribution mechanism for tv content. so comparing it to CNN and Fox News doesn't contradict the previous statement since neither is a broadcast network.
