An 8 pixel pipeline card is a tad slow these days. Spend a little extra, get an X850 Pro or XT with 12 or 16 pipes.

This card is a 6800GT (NV40) but with half the pixel pipelines. You may be able to unlock the missing pipelines with custom drivers.
