Get evga. I can't think of a better company.

1. The price.
2. Usually comes slightly overclocked.
3. Great customer support.
4. Lifetime warranty.
5. Any damage to the card as a result of you overclocking it = included in warranty.
6. 90 day step up option in case a newer card comes out and you wish to upgrade.

Enough said

I have heard a lot of bad experiences with XFX's customer support. I have no experience with them though, so don't aviod XFX just because of what I have heard.

XFX had alot of quality and reliability issues. I don't think this can be disputed.
But many feel that the company has turned around with the newer cards and offering double warranty. At this point, I think its worth a try if the price is right and especially if you have coupons with the newer cards.

OCZ used to be total crap but now most think they are a trustworthy high-end brand. So maybe XFX can change its image as well.

? I never said you should get the XFX..I told you to get evga..

Not many. And there's not another company who covers overclocking in their warranty except evga.

What's preventing you from getting evga? They offer everything you need and more, and their price is always some of the lowest.

on that page....

* Lifetime Warranty is for all retail Graphics Card and Mainboard products ending in the part numbers AX, DX, or FX
* There is no physical damage to the PCB, GPU/chipset, or components

I don't see that this card is ending in AX, DX, of FX......

But yest the BFG does have lifetime..... hmmmm

From what I understand, that applies to the motherboards. The AX, DX or FX are about the motherboards, not the graphics cards...

XFX has made some changes for the better.
No doubt they had QC issues in the past, but right now IMO they make a very good product. The Double lifetime warranty is excellent if you ever plan to upgrade and then sell your card, because the "double" means that they will honor the lifetime warranty for the second owner also. Can be a very good selling point.

As for their support, I personally had a very positive experience. Usually what I read about is people complaining that it is impossible to actually talk to someone at XFX support. I'm not sure about that as I did all my communication thru email and their website (and found their email responses incredibly fast). Ended up sending in an RMA and it was received, processed, tested, and a new card sent out in exactly 4 days. I've sent a few RMA's out and the norm is 10-14 business days, so 4 days is incredible IMO. Personally I give then an A+ in service.

All that being said, I would go with EVGA or XFX, simply getting which ever one is cheaper at the time of purchase.

the xfx is overclocked quite a bit, higher oc than even the other companies offer.

its affordable and only slightly below 7800 gtx performance. its a very good choice.

i've owned xfx, bfg, msi and evga cards and all of which have been a pleasure to work with so i recommend one of those
