I agree with wildcat86, and in the AT Video Card forums I've read about a lot of bad experiences from XFX (many failures, slow RMA's, etc.) Also, I don't see a 15% increase in performance according to AT's review.

Not sure what is wrong with you, but why don't you go on playing with your vanilla 6800, you can't even comprehend that it's slower (yet more expensive) then a 6600GT. Get it thru your head, that it's running at a pathetic laughable 325 mhz core / 600 mhz memory, compared to 500/1000 of the 6600GT, so even that it has more pipes it still ends up slower most of the time. It is the single worst price/performance card in existence and the most stupid people of all are the ones (e.g. Rollo) that bought two of them for SLI getting less performance then a single X800XL.

Owned ! I own this thing and it rock - UT2004 running at 1920x1200 all settings on "highest" and getting above 80 fps super smooth action. BF2 also runs well on this card

Agreed this video card is great and I'm saying that from personal experience, you would not believe the smoothness of the action it delivers in UT2004 at 1920x1200 resolution with all graphical details on highest options. I think any serious gamer needs to get this card, it is totally worth it.

I just upgraded from a 6800 ultra to this, and i was a little hesitant about if i was going to notice an improvement or if i should just skip this generation. Let me put all 6 series owners fears to rest...this thing blows the socks off of a 6800 ultra. Im glad i upgraded. This is my first xfx, and i couldnt be happier with it...as always newegg rocks and fedex always gets me my package earlier than what i pay for..i pay for 3 day and usually get it in 2, sometimes overnight!!

Uber card!
This card kicks! I have been having a slight heat problem running 2 of these in sli, but nothing that an extra PCI fan didnt help. With current CPUs your processor will become a bottleneck if these are run in SLI, but 2 of these bad boys in SLI is *serious* bragging rights. Runs Doom3 maxed (i mean everything maxed) with at least 50 fps with an athlon64 3500+. Great buy!
Just a side note, most internet benchmarks show that a single one of these gives about the same performance as 6800s in SLI.

This card is simply amazing! Who needs two unless your running 1600x1200 or above. My LCD only does 1280x1024 and wow, I can max all my games. The power of this card is incredible. This card is top of the line. If your looking, look no further as this is where it is. Inexpensive, fast, and powerful!

This is a great card. It's the second one I ordered from Newegg so that I can use SLI. Card installed right away and had no issues running with my other XFX 7800GTX in SLI, even though that one was clocked lower from the factory at 450/1250. I just upped that one to 490/1300 and it's doing just fine. With an AMD 4000+ San Diego at 2.6GHz (864 FSB), 2GB RAM, and these cards at 490/1300 in SLI, I scored 12071 in 3dMark05! Sweet!

The 2d clocks for this card are correctly set at 270mhz. 3d is as advertised 490mhz. I own this card and I am amazed at how fast this thing games!

Only complaint i have with this card is that mine came clocked at 275mhz core instead of 490!!

Quirky Setups
This thing is tied with BXX (i think) in terms of factory OC. However, it's cheaper! I highly recommend to anyone on a budget or that needs fluid high res (read 1920x1200 @ max details) gaming experience.

Oh... my... gosh. I paired two of these in SLI with an ASUS Nforce4 Ultra SLI board, an Athlon 64 4000+, and 4 Gig Rosewill PC3200 Dual Channel. 3Dmark05 scores just over 12,000. Nothing else is faster. Period.

this card plus BF2 = xxx. this card with BF2 bundle = xxx. i'm so glad they took out the bundle! ordered it right away!
i think we all know by now the deal with this card. nothing can compete. the big question is are you willing to shell out the bones for this bad boy. if so, you gotta love the 490mhz...fastest on the market and the best price to boot!
