Warm? Disregarding COD2 (which you could sell), is there a place where you can get this card cheaper than $269 now? If so, please share your info. If not, you're not really contributing to the discussion, are you?

I say try to EBay COD2 then. I couldn't believe the price. I ordered mine last night to ensure that it would ship with an order day prior to 11/30/05 so there was no question on the rebate.

How is ZZF about dating their sales documents? Since the rebate is about to expire, this may be important. I don't have any experience w/ZZF, but read that they sometimes delay shipment a couple of days. That wouldn't be a problem for me as long as the documents were dated on the purchase date.

A quick look at eBay suggests that you might expect about $20 from a sale of COD2. The price is probably being held down a little by the large numbers being given away w/7800's and the BF sales prices.

Is there any way to quiet this thing down? Looking at the AT review it was considerably louder than even most of the GTX cards tested.

I believe that as long as the receipt is dated by 11/30/05 you should be ok. If you purchase it today you should be all set even if they ship and process on Monday that is still only 11/28/05.

I believe many have used aftermarket coolers to quiet it down. I am going to install and see how loud it actually is then decide.

They may have done something about the stock cooler already. I have talked to 2 people who bought in the last 3 weeks and they say that the card isn't noisy. Otherwise, there's always ArcticCooling and Zalman coolers for the noise intolerant.

I think its a rebate though XFX themselves. If you search the internet, you will see the same exact rebate for each store, Newegg, Monarch, and Zipzoomfly. I am not worried at all.
