I should have ordered with newegg... Ordering with ZZF was a mistake. Have others who ordered with ZZF got their order fulfilled? According to the CS they say that the card is back-ordered even though it was in-stock when I ordered.

Anyways, this is my first and last order with ZZF.

Switch and Bait tactic? ZZF is also known for slow shipping too even they have it in stock. You have my sympathy . I had that choice when ordered mine and stuck with NE and I'm glad I did. I ordered mine Monday night and got it on the following Friday (in TX). Can you cancel it and order another one with the Egg?

Ya I am pissed too!! I ordered with ZZF. My order has been in process for a week now. I called last thursday and the guy said that it will ship tonight. Which was thursday.

It is now tuesday, and they just now told me it was on back order. I was soo pissed. Not even a phone call or email. On top of that it is near impossbile to get ahold of someone from zzf Customer Service. If it wasn't for the $30 rebate I would have cancelled. I am now looking for a better deal so I can cancel zzf's order. They wouldn't even give me compensation. My last deal with them and I am giving them a bad feedback rating on resellerratings.com.

I ordered from Newegg and I got my last Thursday. Mine is NOT the extreme edition. Very quiet and everything runs very good. Unsure why people are getting the extreme edition. Did anyone that registered for the COD2 get any type of e-mail or anything from XFX? I put in for it last week but no e-mail.

I got my e-mail from XFX last Monday saying that my copy of Call of Duty 2 had been shipped - but then again, I got my card several weeks ago. From what I understand, there's a fairly considerable number of card owners in queue to receive CoD2 and it may take a little while to get a copy.

By the way, just FYI - there is no single "Extreme Edition" XFX 7800 GT. There are four different ones marked as the Extreme Edition:

Version #1: Blue, long PCB with full-length cooler and PCI-E connector
Version #2: Black, long PCB with full-length cooler and PCI-E connector (this is what I have).
Version #3: Black, long PCB with full-length cooler and Molex connector
Version #4: Black, short PCB with chopped-off cooler and Molex connector

It appears that when you order one it's going to be a grab bag.

Just got an update on ZZF XFX cards through this promotion. After calling ZZF several times yesterday I finally got to talk to a manager. HE wouldn't do anything for me. Wouldn't substitute and eat the $30 mail in I was going to miss out on. Just absolutly frustrating. Anyway 300+ orders need to be fullfilled including mine and I just cancelled. They do not even have a ETA on when more cards are comming in. I will wait for another promotion not with ZZF of course. Never shop their again.

Got mine a few days ago, though still waiting for other parts before I can hook it up.

My box says "extreme edition' in the front, lower right hand corner. But its a green board, looks exactly like the one shown here. Can anyone confirm if this has noise issues? I guess I'm stuck with what I get, but I don't have a baseline on what "loud" is and would like to know what to expect.

Also - help a new person out... in the picture linked, I see two connectors - one long one on the right side, and one very short one on the left. I'm assuming the one on the right is what I hook up to my MoBo, but what is the one on the left for? is it SLI?

The shorter connector on the top is indeed the SLI connector. If you buy an SLI ready Mobo it will come with a bridge connector to hook the 2 cards together using these connections.

I received my card promtly after ordering on 11/26. You have to order things early that you find on Hot Deals. Otherwise the "Anandtech Effect" kicks in the site gets flooded.
No one has 1000 of these in stock. They don't expect that kind of traffic.
It's not that they are a bad retailer, they just get mauled with orders through AT.

Anyone sent in and recieved their XFX rebate yet? I ordered from ZZF on Nov 6th. Sent in for my copy of COD right away and just recieved it Monday, Dec 5th. Got an email saying XFX was going to send me a package (assuming rebate) and it listed a tracking number. Appartently the package only exists in Fedex system, not in real life. This is what Fedex says:

A.) Ordered card from ZZF on 11/4. Card delivered 11/7, AM. West Coast to Ohio. Note that time span included a weekend, always sure to cause delay. Then again, Ive NEVER had an order from ZZF take more than 2 days.
B.) Got the blue PCB Extreme version w/PCI-E connector. While the better OC and part copper h'sink are appreciated, the length of these boards can be a problem ... just barely clears my DFI's chipset cooler. Otherwise, love the card. As shown by AT it's a solid performer, and considering the game package you get, the XFX 7800GT is definitely THE board. FC & COD2 for me, MotoGP 2 for my son !
C.) My board's fan is not noisy ... Opty 170 system in a stock (fans) CoolerMaster Praetorian 730 with an Antec Neo 480 PS and the only thing I hear is my CPU's stock fan.
D.) Applied online for COD2, got it via FedEx approx. 1.5 weeks later.
E.) Submitted my rebate on 11/9, have not even received a confirmation let alone the rebate. Not worried, it's thru the "popular" PO Box 134 Niagara Falls, NY processors ... they always come through in approx. 10-12 weeks.

Wow! I'm impressed. Bought the card from the Egg a day before the deadilne 11/30. Registered the game barely a week old. Just received the COD2 via FedEx from XFX. I though need to sell both of my Far Cry and COD2 games since I've already owned both. Now will be waiting for the rebate:roll:
