No order cancellation yet......

Mine is still "In Production" with an estimated ship date of 01/24/2008 LOL

Reply back if you have your order shipped or received or if your order was cancelled.

Thanks...

Dell is SAD! Hope others will never buy from them again. I will not PERIOD! I was told one lie after another and even from so-called supervisors. HAHAHA! I hope the last joke is on them. If only they would tell the customers the truth thats all we ask!
I am done with them and their lame excuses and empty promises.......
I think a lot of others feel the same.
OH Merry belated Christmas and happy New Year to All

Mine was cancelled as well. I spent some time on the phone with them, and basically they refuse to say that they sold them for less than they can get them.

The sad sad truth for too many! Dell is the Walmart of the computer reseller business.

Mine was delayed until 1/21. The PayPal offer was supposed to be credited on 1/10. I wonder if they will credit before the actual item ships. That would be nice.

I just received a call from the Dell escalation team. Apparently they have no way of knowing when the actual product will ship. The manager told me that there are 17,000 of these cards backordered and that they only receive a few hundred in each shipment. Extrapolating that information out it sounds like these cards won't ship for months. I was so tired of their endless run around that I canceled my order. They offered to knock an additional $20 off of the price but I refused.

I will never order a third-party item from Dell again. Their customer service is horrible. I think the previous poster was right that they would rather have people cancel than have to fulfill orders.

The idea that they can't sell them for what they pay and want to avoid shipping is logical, but forgets the critical point that makes this so ridiculous: they are still taking orders. Dell states shipping in 6+ weeks, but that is not an estimate...it's their way of saying "backordered". There is no status longer than 6+ weeks. Also, Dell never stops taking orders for anything that still remains on its site. When they really stop, they take the whole take product page down.

I used to be a Delly type of guy before Michael Dell himself stepping down and let another guy started to wreck havoc the company.
Now the man himself is back trying to save face but I think it's may be a bit too late.
I can hardly imagine I'll ever buy another product from it anymore after being screwed over with one lie after another.
In fact I've just ordered a brand new HP lappy a day before Xmas.
So long Dell.

Well, I don't think Dell is any worse than BestBuy. I went to our BestBuy tio try and pick up either an HD3850 or an 88ooGT, and the guy working their said all of the employees bought them!! WTF! What sort of company lets all the employees buy up the hard to find products? Thanks, BestBuy!

Well I'm out

originally I ordered on Dec 4th

was delayed and supposed to ship on the 19th, which got pushed back to the 28th, we called before the 28th to try to raise some hell, they said they would try to get me expedited shipping, and just kept recycling the same information over and over, stating that according to their information the card will ship on the 28th,

the 28th came and I recieved an email stating my new ship date was January 15th,

found the same card in stock on newegg, got a tracking # within a few hours, and I should have my new card within a few days.

unfortunately I'd already ordered a Corsair 520HX power supply and antec nine hundred case from them, which they were able to fill in a timely manner,

but they'll be missing out on the profit they could have made for my video card,

in the future though, I'll be sticking with the egg.

I just got yet another delay notice, from 1/2 to 1/15 now. I know it's been asked before, but has anyone actually gotten one of these cards?

At this point I'd rather have a 3870, but neither card is readily available, especially at a reasonable price. I would get a great deal if Dell ever shipped, though, so I wait. Even my hope of Ebaying the card is going down the toilet because price there are coming down, too. One thing is for sure, if this order gets canceled, I'd better get my concession coupon back. Hell, I deserve three by now.

Well, I'll answer my own question...just logged in for the hell of it and found that my card shipped today via DHL. I didn't get the notification e-mail that I signed up for, but who cares. I did notice that Dell listed shipping as "next day" and DHL says "ground", but again, I don't really cares as long as it's on the way. Can't beat an 8800 GT for $142 delivered (after $100 concession coupon related to another issue).

Best Buy doesn't currently stock any of the HD3800 series in stores and the only 8800GT they have is the OC'd BFG. There might be isolated incidents of employees hoarding hot items, but in general those that want to keep their jobs probably wouldn't dare. Chalk it up to the cards just being in very short supply.

My local Fry's has HD3870s, HD3850s, 8800GTs and GTSes all in stock now so the worst seems to be over.

same here, my xfx shipped today. the MSI order was cancelled. I don't remember doing it, but whatever, 1 card is better than none. And yes, I did approve the delay when Dell emailed about it.

Mine was also shipped yesterday, with the original order on 11/26. I was going to hold out until the 9th before I cancelled, but I'm glad XFX and Dell came through.
