ill just go get some popcorn to watch joker vs wreckage round 5 when he gets here

dont forget extelleron and ackmed like to jump in the mix at times too .... this should be fun to watch.

i dont see why people get heated about which is faster. like it bloody matters at 60+fps

it's pretty simple for me anyway...

more power consumption = greater thermal output. more heat, at least for me is not a desireable feature.

and then of course there's the electricity bill

Everything seems to be inorder though. Im just surprised in the sudden F.E.A.R performance with the G71 based cards.

they've been working at that i think, both ati and nvidia have picked up some stellar increases in fear :thumbsup: to the driver teams

I don't care about previous driver releases, I know full well what they did because comparisons were done between them by reputable sources. I gave him a simple request, give me proof from a credible source that this driver revision provides enough performance boost to explain the differences between the extremetech and guru3d article. Unless either one of you can do so, the extremetech article is just as valid as the guru3d test, driver revision or not.

Wouldn't this mean we have to find, or at least wait for other reviews that try the 84.34 drivers? You could be asking for proof that may not exist yet Joker.

So if the proof doesn't exist, then keep the idiotic speculation to yourself.

dude, step away for one second, take a breath, then go back an re-read what he has written

in summary key's has.....

1) noted your findings of a review with the same card
2) noticed that the 2 reviews differ by driver revision
3) asked that you hold judgement until you or he finds a similar review that uses the same driver revision

driver revisions can show gains going from one to the next, i thought this was one of the ideas behind releasing new drivers? and to be honest, nvidia release very few official drivers as it is, so i would expect some kind of gain, given the time they take.

your not quite reading him right, and you have gone off on a tangent that you created. just calm down mate, please?

you, extelleron, wreckage and the other guys who would die for nvidia and ati really do make this place unattractive sometimes.

Lets see.. what would I rather have. The GTX in questions for $600, or the XTX for $410. Hmm... pretty easy choice.

It would seem the choice most are making are the six hundred dollar cards. It was in another thread. Something about 4:1. ATI is continuously cutting prices to push their cards. We all know the X1900XTX is worth more than 410.00. It is a beastly card. But ATI just can't push em like they want you to.

P.S. I think a large contributing factor is the availability and widespread ownership of SLI motherboards, and SLI's maturity over Crossfire. Master Cards and all might not be as appealing as not having to have one to run two cards together. IMHO.

Edit: Typo.

naw, that 4:1 thing was the 7900gt, specially since the voltmodding thing got around. why pay $600 when you can pay $300 is it? (or is it more?) and use some conductive pen?

Your thread is wrong. This is the fastest card on the market.

If you want to get technical this is the fastest until the 7950 X2 comes out.

And if you want to get even more technical, that's just 2 cards in SLI, but placed on one board. It requires an SLI mobo, so it's not quite the single card it's trying to be.

You suffer from a severe case of denial. It's one card. If you have an SLI motherboard you can use two of them.

look at the pictures it only takes up ONE PCIe slot. It is the fastest single card on the planet (until the 7950 X2 come out).

i thought to use this you needed them SLIx16 boards? coz the two boards that make up the X2 work together in SLI, just everything is on one board, but the PCI-E port still needs to be split x8 and x8

That is where I intend to go. 7900GT. Price is very nice and the voltmod is sweet.
I even took the guide to this that was stickied and made it into a nice webpage for that OP, fuzzybabybunny. Sorry for the OT, but look here.

But we are not going to pay for the "overpriced" card.
Much more interested in the stock GTX scores. And of course the 7900GT.
Does this clear anything up for you at all? I hope it did.
And, can I have another cookie to please?

That's my objection Keys.. An overpriced GTX coupled with a couple of benchmarks that look weird in my eyes for obvious reasons.. And plz don't try to call fanboy a guy that previously owned a 6800gt and a 7800gtx 256..
I think you are smart enough to draw the line here..

P.S OH HERE's A COOKIE KEYS I THINK YOU DESERVE IT
