I dont suggest doing this. Do u know how long some of us waited last spring for the 9800p to drop in price after the x800 series came out? Months, many months. Not worth waiting for much of anything in the video card world.

And to reply to the above post, I have worked with both companies' cards and have had no quarrels with either. But i know from reading these forums that the best ones are evga and bfg and that many ppl have had issues w/ xfx cards so i tend not to get them unless they are a steal for a light/non-gamer. (ie: a $30 5700le a yr ago for my gf's brother who just likes to watch flash movies and listen to mp3s)

FYI only - my XFX7800 does 530/1400 stable and once I get better cooling I suspect it will be artifact free. 490/1300 stock speeds most likely means they're speed binning so if you're looking to go fast - you may want to go with XFX.

I recently saw that XFX was a renamed Pine Technologies. Pine was a company that sold cheapo rebadged CD Burners I would see at Circuit City from time to time. I wouldn't be comfortable buying an expensive video card from that type of company, but maybe that's just me.

I only buy 5 or 6 games a year, so a card with a good software bundle will always be more appealing to me. In addition to games, they also come with DVD decoders and other stuff.

My XFX 7800 GTX OC (490/1300) scores 8500 in 3DMark05 !!!!! And yes, they are pre testing the OC versions so you know they will be faster then your average 7800GTX.

I've been looking at benches of the 7800gtx, and the XFX outperform the leadtek. This seems to be because XFX
OC's the core to 492MHz from the 450MHz stock speed that other manufacturers sell.
